I am tired of finding just the right clothes to hide the rolls, just the right pose for pictures so I hide the fat, or comparing myself to those who are larger (thinking "at least that's not me"). It's time for permanent change and all the benefits that go with it. I am enjoying my ECD, plus it's a great example for my kids. Not to mention my husband would benefit from a leaner wife. It's time to stop reading success stories and starting being a success story.

I started the new year wanting to try new things and be active in different ways. So I went on vacation with my family and learned how to surf. But while on vacation (but not while surfing) I injured my leg so can't exercise for tat least the next 2 months.

I started off on the right foot but didn't land on it correctly. Now my goal is to eat small meals of real food 5 to 6 times a day and start swimming when the doctor says that I am cleared to begin excercising.

Hi new friends! I am 43 years old and haven't felt comfortable in my own skin for the past couple of years. Slowly the weight has crept on and my goal for 2013 is simply to feel good about myself again! I ordered Supreme 90 Days and started the workouts a little over 2 weeks ago. I've passed the hump of dreading my workouts and am now so excited, especially since already seeing and feeling results. I just joined this website the other night while browsing through recipes and the food lists for eating clean. I am on a mission and I love it. It's so nice to be able to read other people's success stories and share in the support. Here's to a fabulous 2013!

Two weeks ago I started the clean eating and so far it's great.

I am 52 and very active and healthy. My goal is to lose 10lbs but more importantly I need to get my bf index down as I am at the top end. I am going through menopause (no periord in 3 years) and I think this is part of my struggles. What should I be doing to lower my bf# so I can be healthier than I am presently.

I do not drink pop or coffee, Im a pretty healthy eater, more now with the clean eating and I have recently cut out gluten. I workout 5-6 times a week (might be to much I have been told for my age). If I look at calories, is there a number I should be aiming for too? Appreciate anyone's suggestions/comments.

I'm taking this year to add lean muscle in preparation for hitting the Figure stage again in 2014. I'm alternating building phases and leaning phases to deliberately sculpt my goal. I'm excited to see what more I can do!

giggles perfect place to post my newbie questions. I have Fibromyalgia, along with what is called lupus anti coagulation basically my blood clots randomly for fun.(not) so I take 95 to 105 mg of rat poison (warifin) a week. that being said it means i have to eat consistent amounts of food that are high in vitamin K. I can eat anything i want as long as i am consistent with the amount i eat. with all that said I am back home no longer at Audra N Jose Zacarias home and went and bought the book of rules, I also bought the book The Anti-Inflammation and Diet and Recipe Book plus I am a member of Weight Watchers. So if you can imagine I am blending these three diets together actually the Anti-Inflammation and Eat Clean are so close and alike not much work blending them WW will just help in controlling portion sizes and calorie intake. I also bought me a few Yoga and excercise books to help. Fibro is very hard to exerciser with as you hurt all the time and it can put you into a flare. So their are my challenges as a newbie to this new way of life and eating..As I have returned home on the 10th of Jan I have started detoxing from Caffeine, Refined Sugars, and Fast Food, to day is Jan 13 and success at this point.

I was wondering if anyone knows if gum chewing is allowed in the realm of eating clean. I've only read the "Just the rules" book and it doesnt state either way. Of course I could be going way overboard with my thought process but I guess that's how I've kept 110lbs off for 3 years. Dedication and following a strict plan. :) Happy New year!

Ok, I have always been a person who can "eat whatever" , but...as the 40's roll along its not quite that easy anymore The holidays were relaxing but included lots of treats and late night snacking. That paired with not much exercise has me feeling flabby and uncomfortable. I vow to eat healthier and get back to my exersice regime. Half marathon in June, maybe???

1. Challenged myself to not eating any refined sugars for 1 year (so far, so good!)
2. Getting my creative juices flowing again by writing and scrapbooking.
3. Meal planning with Eat Clean Meals
4. Committing to goal setting each week and month
5. Not weighing myself every day.
6. Blogging my journey.
7. Not using the "new Mom" excuse to not exercise - Moms can lift more than kids!!

I joined this site 2 years ago and haven't used it. 2013 is the year I commit to reading, eating and using the resources for ECD! I feel better and look better when I'm eating clean but somehow I fall back into negative habits which at this stage are very familiar. I can do this!

I joined the strike sugar thing last year & that really has been amazing! This year i am expanding my knowledge of clean eating, determined to make my own sprouted bread (anyone have a good recipe?), and i've added weights to my workout routine. I'm also focusing more on how my body looks/feels rather than the scale. For me, 2013 is my year to get strong & to give to others!

2013 HAS to be the year that I commit to drinking less, therefore quitting the nasty habit of smoking that I have when I DO drink...and think of all the money I will save!! I HAVE to make myself get out and exercise, and I really would love to get to the point where I am running, at least a mile, without stopping. I also have to take charge of what I put into my body to be at optimal health for energy and disease fighting. I am going to be forty soon, and I don't want to feel FORTY!!!!

I found the Eat Clean book right before Thanskgiving last year and was hooked within 5 minutes of reading. I spent Christmas reading over the plan and reworking it into my life. I returned home from Christmas vacation and starting eating clean. Within one week, I couldn't get over how much better I felt. My head was clear, I had energy without 4 cups of coffee, and I was in a really good mood. So now I am REALLY hooked!

I make a weekly meal plan covering breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. I post this on my fridge and stick to it. This way I don't have to think about food during the week, it is already done. I have increased my workouts from 2x a week to 4 and plan to sign up for the 8 week fitness challenge at our local YMCA. Last, by the fall of 2013, I plan to either walk 3 days on the Appalachian Trial or run a 5K marathon (or both!).

I plan to take all of 2013 to work through eating clean, fixing my habits that sabotage my eating, and understand what emotionally triggers me to go looking for food. I'm done spending more time looking for answers in the fridge!

Thank you for this great program!

I have been reading about the ECD for a couple of years. I actually started lurking and started eating clean on and off when I was 50! I did run a 10k and a 1/2 marathon in 2011. But I didn't do the 1/2 like I wanted. Fit and in shape.
Yes I trained, but I ate what I wanted and certainly didn't eat clean ! My thought was since I was training all those miles I could eat what I wanted, and I did. I had my IT Band act up so ran the last 5 miles in pain. I had stopped toning my body with weights and what suffered was my core. I believe if I had kept weight training and ate clean I would have ran a different race, the race I wanted to in my mind!
Don't get me wrong, I am proud of what I did, I'm not a runner, but thought I could have done better.

Now it's 2013, and I'm 52, I look at Tosca and I want to be fit when I'm 53! I started eating clean and cut out alcohol and sugar (candy, cookies etc...) since Jan. 6th. My goal is to do it for 30 days straight! If I can do it for 30 days, then I am on my way!

My next hurdle is fitting in the gym. I do walk my dog 3 miles a day, but want to add strength training. Work is hectic right now, but if I can make it 3 times a week to the gym, until spring I will be happy and a little further to my goal for 2013.

Returning to pre-nursing school size - I gained a whopping 40 lbs in 36 months! I was eating clean and weight training before and fell completely off the wagon due to stress and the insane schedule. I'm excited about my new career and getting healthy again!!

I am beginning a new kind of fitness program, one that explicitly recognizes my age -- 49. I have suffered from several injuries in the last few years, and I am finally getting the hint -- I am not young anymore.

So this is my revamping for this year:
Goal: 10-K and visible muscles.
- Spend a full 5-7 minutes warming up for all exercise, especially my runs
- Carefully stretch every day
- Take 1-2 days for swimming rather than running to give my body an active rest, doing this swimming on my weight-lifting days.

I have been seriously exercising and eating clean for 5 years, increasing in strength, flexibility, and stamina very slowly, but last year I thought I could rush things. I can't, not at 49. And that is fine -- there is no rush for fitness but there is injury for rushing it.
