I have 2... one began as my personal trainer, and is now my best friend, mentor, inspiration, and more. She helped me not just lose weight and get fit, but to also understand the how's and why's. I am so thankful for her!
The second is my yoga instructor. I was able to interview her recently for my website, and loved getting to know her a bit better. She inspires me to keep reaching, keep working, and keep practicing. :-)

I am a teacher myself and am constantly looking for good role models to collaborate with and learn from. I inspire young minds every day and truly believe that each person has a unique individual offering for the world: it's up to us teachers to help them uncover it. When I first began teaching, I worked under an insightful Chair who had taught for many years at the college and she was a constant source of inspiration. She believed that every person was entitled to an education and a shot at their dreams and we had to find a way to make that happen for them. Not always an easy task! But she was supportive and encouraging and helped me to be a better person by really listening and trying to understand other points of view. I think I owe a lot to her and her way of thinking: her teaching definitely made me a more open person and for that I am very grateful.

My college chemistry professor who was also my academic advisor pushed me to my limits and also expressed a belief in my abilities when I felt like I was drowning in my circumstances. His faith in me gave me confidence to complete my bachelors degree and go to pharmacy school. I just graduated this year and if it hadn't been for him I wonder where I would be now.

My favorite teacher is my current personal trainer, Janel. She truly practices what she preaches. She teaches me to eat clean and enjoy working out. She is truly a gifted individual.
