Ahhh!! Beautiful summer!!I will be getting up a wee bit earlier to go for a walk/run outside and beat the heat. Thankfully, I also have wonderful friends and neighbours with pools that allow us to come over for a swim. I will certainly be doing my laps while the kids are splashing around. We have also starting riding our bikes after dinner which is always fun!

We don't get a lot of warm weather in northern Alberta so I plan to take full advantage. I am taking my kettlebells outside to the park, gardening, running with my dog, swimming with my boys and playing Ultimate Frisbee. Gardening this year means planting trees, laying the patio, mowing and lots of weeding and watering. Yay sun!!

I recently moved to Arizona from Pennsylvania. I've realized that if I want to get my running workout in for the day, I've got to do it early. Cooler temps make it easier to fit in those extra miles and it gives me an early start to my day so that I can spend time with my family before the hectic workday begins.

I just got on a bicycle for the first time since I was a little girl...what fun! Even though I'm saddle sore, I had a blast, and I'm one step closer to killer legs.

Take long walks on the beach with my dog first thing in the morning to start my day off right. Then in the late afternoon, hit the gym for some weight training.

Wow it has actually felt like summer here in Houston since May. With the humidity and heat, the index is 105 or more. I walk the dogs early! I run after that by myself with my neat ipod. I remember in the old days running with a cd player skipping and bulky. I also do heavier cardio at Bally's with spin classes. The stairmaster is the least used at the gym but the best for a good workout. I love the weight machines but will get to more free weights this summer. We love bicycle riding because you get a breeze on a bike. You can coast when tired and you can go for a long time on a bike. This long time doing cardio is great for burning fat. When you ride with a bike club, you can talk and share. This makes doing long long rides not feel as long. You are surprised at how far you went. Try a club with different ride speed rides.Yard work is another good exercise activity but only early in the morning or the evening. Digging and grooming plants can get your heart rate up. And you see such beauty around your house after this exercise. Lots of water and sunscreen to protect my body. G2 electrolyte drink when going more than an hour in the heat!

Summers where I live are brutal, and can really throw a wrench into any plans to do physical activity outside! Since we practically live in the pool during the summer, I plan on swimming to get some cardio in! I also will need to force myself to make sure I am taking in enough water through the day so I can make it through 115 plus heat!

I am going to do more outside activities. Just getting up off the couch is half the battle. I am going to start gardening and walking around my neighborhood.I am hoping that the warmer weather will increase my desire to wear cute small clothes and I have to be slim and tight for that to happen.

Now that it's nice out I do all my cardio outside. I go bicycling. I also go walking/running even in the rain. I found that I like running in the rain :)

Heading out early for a run or using the office gym. The days of the lunch power walk are over unless it is on a treadmill.

I am getting up two hours earlier to get my workout in. That way I beat the heat as well as start my day out right. Nothing beats the feeling of getting up getting in my workout first thing.

Ha Ha! It's always hot and humid the whole year round in Singapore with occassional rain.:D So I guess I'm very much accustomed to the warmer weather!! :D Nevertheless, we still work out either at home or at the gym. We could always run in the early mornings or evenings when it is not so hot and sunny!! :D

Currently summer is off to a high start with temps in the 90's and humidity not far behind. My plans include the following...1. Going outside to walk either early in the morning or after the sun is in the far west to avoid the sweltering heat and humidity of the day.2. Exercise inside with Tosca's DVD or use my Wii Fit.3. Drink water, drink water, drink water. This is my first week so I am off to a good start: I have a plan. That means I plan to succeed. You see, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I'm removing failure from the selections "board."
