No...even though the kids are off from school, which throws off my schedule, I was able to do a quick run...then this morning rode the bike and did an awesome upper body workout.
My son was at the Vacation fun club at the YMCA that I work at, and my daughter brought a book and stationed herself at the tables outside the fitness room.

Yes. All I have is excuses, not really any really good reasons. Let's start with the weather - pouring rain... not motivated to walk with an umbrella and galoshas. Two: woke up late, always late, always never enough time - especially since I also spent lunch hour and the hour before and after at my mother's apartment trying to help her straighten things out. She has dementia and helping her is more work than helping myself. My knees hurt. I have the worst stage of arthritis and the doctor wants me to have surgery - but since I just took a month and a half off to recover from rotator cuff surgery I'm not looking to spend even MORE time off recovering from knee surgery. DARN - I am usually a half-full sort of person but I can see from reading this that I am really in a self-pity rut.... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess the question is how can I prevent this from happening again. I think I just have to look at little chunks. If my knees hurt, if the weather is bad, if I'm consumed with taking care of my mother (and work, and a household, and a family) maybe I just have to say - okay - I can't walk an hour - but I can give it 20 minutes... maybe twice a day...

Nope. I was way behind schedule and was short on time but.. instead of walking the dog, I ran the dog, and then I did just 25 min of a plyometrics DVD. In less than an hour I still burned over 500cal!!

Actually, Yes, something did keep me from my workout yesterday...It was my bad attitude. I woke up feeling sorry for myself, and did not go out for my planned run. When I went to bed last night, my last thought was how I would wake up on Saturday morning happy to be alive, and get my rear in gear for a great workout and day, and that's exactly what I did! Yeah me!!!

Did great yesterday. I had been doing my ST during lunch hour. But, things at work have been getting hectic and have been working through lunches more than once. So, I've made the switch of doing my ST in the mornings, and saving lunch for extra cardio or a kettlebell class.

Was on the ball yesterday. Did a run in the morning and a strength workout over lunch. I always try and get it done before I leave work, because I know as soon as I get home I'm toast.
