I have an anaphylactic allergy to all nuts (ground nuts and tree nuts) to soy, beans, and peas. I have had that all my life and when I tried to go vegetarian when I was 15 I ended up in the hospital 10 months later. Just recently I was tested for food intolerances (different from food allergy in which they give delayed reactions) and I am intolerant to eggs and dairy. So that doesn't leave much. When ever I want to make a recipe that calls for nuts, I use pumpkin seeds. To substitute nut butters, I use pumpkin or sunflower seed butter. For my dairy substitutions I use rice milk, coconut milk, or more recently flax milk. I have also just discovered coconut yogurt...yum. The only thing I haven't figured out how to substitute is tofu...so many great recipes call for that and I don't know what would work in place of it. I must say things have changed significantly in terms of choices for people with allergies since I was little...I also love the Enjoy Life products which are free of the 8 most common allergens ... be careful though some have a lot of sugar.

I'm not allergic to any of those products but I am vegetarian. I use soy milk, tofu, legumes, green leafy veg & am about to start making my own nut milk from almonds.

I recently discovered that dairy is a migraine trigger for me. I substitute almond milk or coconut milk.

I am not allergic to any of the items listed...but I have chosen to not eat dairy due to digestive issues.....replacing dairy with coconut milk and almond milk. Unfornately I do not like fish and I am sure that is hindering my progress....

I don't have any food allergies, but for dairy I have recently tried Coconut Dream which is tasty (plain and chocolate flavors). I also tried Oaty (which is an oat milk) yesterday for the first time. It was the chocolate; very creamy with a nice strong real chocolate taste! Can't wait to try the plain!
