I'm currently on day 3 of the ECD. I am having trouble eating such a large breakfast. It takes me a while and I do manage to get it all down but the oatmeal seems like so much after you add the wheat germ, flax seed, and bee pollen. Is my recipe correct.
1/2 cup oatmeat (cook kind)
2Tbs. flax seed (fresh ground)
1 Tbs wheat germ
1 Tbs bee pollen
1 palm full of blueberries
On addition, I eat 4 whites
Any help would be great. Thanks

I've always make treat bags for my children and husband full of sweets, chocolate and baked goods. This year I filled them will non-food items that I knew they would enjoy: journals with pens for taking notes at church, Valentine socks, activity books, chocolate-flavored chap stick/lip gloss. We are learning to take the focus off the food in our lives, and focus on the really important things, like our relationships and activities... that's how to show REAL love.

My husband is working night shift tonight, so I am making us and our children a yummy clean dinner for all of us to enjoy! We always share Valentine's cards together and this year, we will open them and read them out loud during dinner. Then when he leaves for work, I'm taking my boys to a hockey game (with clean treats in my backpack)! Happy Heart Day!

My boyfriend and I just recently recommitted to our fitness goals, so we are meeting up at the gym after work. Then we’re going home to cook a beautifully clean rendition of Chicken Florentine together. I’ll probably allow myself a glass of wine with dinner—a planned and controlled treat. For dessert? Well… I’m sure I’ll think of something! *wink*

Staying home tonight for bbq steak, veggies and sweet potatoes - all clean eating. The "treat" will be a small slice of cake our daughter made from scratch using mostly clean ingredients.

Instead of spending our money on a nice dinner out... my husband and I decided to do an activity and go sking this weekend to celebrate the holiday together.

I am focusing on still having a clean meal but instead of eating out we will be going to a movie. My husband knows how important staying focused is for me so we are learning to do other things that don't revolve around food.

I'm currently in a long-distance relationship so I won't be tempted by rich resturant meals this Valentine's Day. He also knows that I am not much of a sweet eater so I won't receive the usual Valentine's Day candy. Since I am about 2 weeks in to the eating clean lifestyle, my plan is to continue eating the clean meals that I have been eating so far. No guilt to experience this Valentine's Day!
