I just turned 50 and my gift to myself was to feel better, look better , lose weight and run a mile... Well, I have been cleaneating for 4 months and I have accomplished the first 3 things and I have set my mind to go for it on Monday to try for the mile. If I can't so what...I will not give up and will be proud just to know I am trying. I still have a lot more to lose etc. But, I have no time frame. This way of eating is a now and forever way. I am having so much fun putting myself first for the first time in 32 years of marriage and raising kids and now grandkids..If I am not healthy I can't be there for them..So this is very important to me.

Feliz Cumpleanos Tosca!
I had a not so clean celebration. I had pizza and margaritas.
It is not something I have often but it was good.

Happy Birthday Tosca! You are an inspiration to us all! My 40th is in 2 months and we're having a party with close friends to celebrate. Maybe some clean margaritas?!!?

Happy birthday, Tosca!

My 41st birthday was yesterday. Since my son's 9th birthday is tomorrow, I started the day with a workout in the gym (back and triceps), and then followed it up with a day of house cleaning in anticipation of his birthday party later today. So plenty of cardio! :) My 5-year-old was disappointed that Mommy didn't have a cake, but I explained that we'll be having cake for his big brother's birthday today, and a small piece of that will be fine for me. No fancy meal--again, we'll grill out for my son's party later today (where plenty of my friends will be in attendance as well), and we ended the evening watching "Toy Story" as a family. Very different from my 40th last year (me and my hubby painting the town in New Orleans!), but a really wonderful day overall!

Happy birthday! You share a birthday with my daughter who is 3 today! My birthday was on the 20th of May and we celebrated by grilling up some grass fed hormone free t-bone steaks! (We eat red meat MAYBE once a month). And topped it off with a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing... My husband and kids bought me running shoes, socks and a new running outfit to help burn it off! lol.

First, Happy Birthday Tosca!!! Second, thanks to my new inspiration, I'll be celebrating my birthday somewhat smaller in size. Though I don't expect loosing 50 lbs in 5 months is less than a challenge, but I'm aiming for it anyway. As for the celebration itself, I intend on spending it with my family in our new home with more energy than before.

Thank you Tosca!
