always get a salad, either a side pre-dinner or a entree salad with grilled chicken. I bring my own dressing or just order oil and vinegar on the side. For entree, usually order grilled or roasted chicken with steamed veggies on the side. Or if at a Mex restaurant (my favorite) I try to stick with chicken tacos with just pico and avo... even though it kills me not to get a burrito with the works!

The restaurant we visit on Date-Night is a favorite, and the chef is always willing to accommodate my requests. Apart from special ordering, I go for grilled stuff - shrimp, chicken, fish, veggies; salads with the dressings on the side (oil & vinegar usually); and one of my favorite treat meals are soft tacos - corn tortillas, cabbage, peppers, grilled chicken or steak and lots and lots of salsa :-) My other favorite treat meal there is the grilled pork tenderloin with raspberry sauce and smashed maple sweet potatoes with grilled zucchini.... YUM!!!
And lots of water :-) The hubby and I joke now about trying to beat my last treat meal water intake... I had 3 glasses, can I drink 4; I had 4, can I drink 5... LOL!

Lots of Ice water with Lemon or lime, I stick to salads w/ Dressing on the side. I figure if I'm out to dinner I treat myself to a kind of salad I would not normally make at home. Like tonight I'm going out!

I first look at the salads and such because as long as you keep eating clean in mind you can make easy choices when it comes to salads-add some grilled chicken and you got your protien too!
