I slipped this weekend at a birthday party. Next weekend I won't be attending any birthday parties I'll be running a 5k instead.

Sure, I slipped up, this weekend. What I'll do next weekend is not have guests from out of town. That way, I won't be able to rationalize slipping up so easily.

Yup. I was lazy and purchased lunch for the familly, on my way home from the grocery store I might add, totally intending to make something for myself when I got home, but by the time I got through the drivethru, I had something for myself too. DOH! I just started my journey this week and was doing great so far. The NEW plan...make sure I don't miss my mid-moring meal before I go shopping!

I slipped in previous weekends and this week I did what I planned on and have stayed on track. My plan was to stay conscious of time. If I let too much time go by I'll over eat and choose unhealthy foods. So, I set an alarm on my phone to remind me when to eat and I write up a plan of what I'll eat. It works!

Big time! I just started my first week. Had zero energy and zero will power. (Cutting caffeine has been hard but proud of myself for what I was able to do)Didn't feel like going to the grocery so I let my husband pick. I feel good today and ready to get back on track. Went to the grocery and am ready for the week. by the way, did I mention I HATE going to the grocery! mean planning is going to be my biggest challenge.

In my defense PMS is a horrible horrible thing. My slip up this weekend was eating a handful of Cadbury's mini eggs. My body was screaming to kill something as is normal on the day before. I find alittle chocolate tends to ease that psychotic break. Its only once a month so I doubt it will kill me.
Usually slips can be avoided by PLANNING and a COOLER bag to take on the go!

Unfortunately, I seem to slip up every weekend! My one cheat meal turns into an eat whatever I want weekend, which pretty much cancels out the good I did by eating clean during the week. I seem to have no willpower when my husband and stepdaughter are around. If they bring Oreos and french fries into the house, I'm going to eat them! My husband will say "one meal won't hurt you," but when that one meal turns into 6, it does hurt me! I have to learn how to say no to them, and remember that I'm not depriving myself by eating clean; I'm taking care of myself!

We had lunch with my parents at a restaurant I used to love. It was still good, but even before I started this journey I noticed they used a ton of salt! So much salt I find myself downing a liter of water an hour later, I'm so thirsty! I planned on eating only half of my sandwich and saving the other half for later, so that was good, but in the evening when I decided to have the leftovers, I couldn't eat it. It was too salty and just tasted bad! Back to clean eating today and even more water (my poor eyes are puffy)!!

Next weekend is Easter, I will be sure to bring lots of clean eats to my parents. Oh, and no eating out!
