My mother makes the most amazing home made apple pie that's just heaping with several varieties of apples, and she makes it with an authentic lard crust. Super tasty (and super flaky) I won't be able to resist a nice slice on Christmas day!

Since the Holiday season is here my treat will be to try all the foods I want on Christmas dinner, with the exception of butter or gravy. I also am going to treat myself to a 50K trail run on January 2nd in Wisconsin!
