I try to practice what I preach, so-to-speak. A lot of times my friends or family members will ask me what I am doing to stay fit. I will then tell them what I eat and how often and even throw in some exercise ideas.

At home, my theory is this - If I want my kids to eat healthy, I need to shop healthy. I try to stay away from buying cookies, cakes, and candies. I look for tasty items which are also more on the healthy side of snacking. I have a teenage son who loves icecream. I have starting buying frozen yogurt which is he likes.

I regularly forward articles from the Eat-Clean diet and other publications on natural ways to achieve and maintain good health. My opinion is that if a person sees something often enough, it will start to make an impression.

I pack my kids' lunches with healthy choices ~ milk, veggies, whole grain breads, natural PB. I have clean left overs for my hubs to take in his lunch as well. When friends ask about what I'm eating or why I'm eating AGAIN, it's a chance for me to tell them about EC ~ how I can eat so often, how to start making better choices by reading labels and what this eating-style has done for me!

Only by example. I don't give out any advice unless specifically asked. Frankly it gets tiresome wasting your breath and your time on people who don't want to do the work!

Foodwise, my family is automatically supported because I'm the cook, and a clean eater, but I help my friends and extended family out by teaching cooking classes, promoting the goodness of 'whole' cooking vs. convenience cooking, and challenge them to find new recipes for me!

Healthwise, I have taught hundres of people how to clean their homes to a bacteria free clean using only water, and feel grateful everyday that I am able to help people reduce the amount of toxic chemicals they bring into their homes.

Once my friends and family clean up their foods, and lower the indoor pollution of their homes, they can't deny they feel better. Most continue successfully from there!

Thanks!

I work in an office where well-meaning friends bring unhealthy snacks to share. I steer clear of the counter tops when they are laden with unhealthy foods, but now bring healthy snacks to share and promote good will.

When I visit my sister, I buy more healthy food than I can eat in the time I stay with her, so she and her daughter will have a chance to try what I normally eat. Hopefully they will love it and continue to buy it!

By example and honesty. Yesterday my husband and I were at my daughter's softball game. We had packed an EC light snack for her because she had a double header with only a 20 minute break. All of her friends parents went to the local Mc Donald's to get their girls' snacks. She had her raisins and 1/2 Peanut butter sandwich on wheat, washed down with water. She is tall and thin and understands the need to make sure your body is healthy. She did have a few fries and asked me, "Do you think Tosca Reno would say that these are poison?"

By example and hubby lets me pack his food for the day at work, so it helps I make healthier choices for him to eat. I can't control what he does outside of my view, but I can put clean choices in his lunch bag. That with planning and cooking our dinners.

I lead by example, promote the EC way of life & and warn against the dangers of an unhealthy lifestyle. People notice my extreme weight loss and great energy levels, this leads to them approaching me about how they can change for the better. I always make myself available to answer questions, and offer tips.
