I'm part of a tri-group and during the winter months we focus move inside! We swim (focusing on form and endurance) and take spin classes at the gym.. We do bundle up and do outside runs.. but if it is too cold we will go to the treadmill for some intervals!

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but I am in need of some sweetner ideas for my morning coffee. Also...some ideas for a quick lunch would be greatly appreciated!

I need a lunch that does not need refrigeration or cooking. I work in outside marketing and most days I am in an area that I may only get 30 minutes break so it wouldn't be possible to leave and purchase lunch. Again, I don't have access to a fridge or cooking:)

any ideas?

Thanks!!

I work out at the gym because I know I can stay focused with no distractions. There is nothing to do there but work out. I pop on my ear phones and just get in the zone. I imagine what I want to look like and visualize my future body to keep me going.

I Exercise indoors, because I know if I try to force myself to go out in the cold, I will probably make an excuse to avoid being in uncomfortable temperatures.

Challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone. Started taking Metabolic Acceleration classes and Kettle bell. Feel so much more confident that I am able to complete a totally different type of training.

Snowshoeing or XC skiing as much as possible. If there isn't snow then the normal gym routine will do.

Last year it was snowshoeing, toboganning and snowball fights. This winter it's walking, running, "cutting" the grass... just kidding about the walking...lol Indoor workouts at the Y.

Snow shoe, haven't had too much snow to do this (yet) and I've rekindled my relationship with my treadmill. For awhile we were not on speaking terms.

I go to a personal trainer (4xweek). Not much snow to ski or do any winter sports in Texas...I hate the cold so indoors is where I'm at. On pretty days I go for long walks.

Right now X-Country skiing is the exercise of choice. Have only managed to get out once or twice since X-Mas as the weather was so bad. That and joining a boot camp that meets 3 times a week for an hour. So far so good!

I love running outside in the winter. I love the crisp air and how I don't sweat. Then coming inside to the warmth and having a good stretch and a hot shower.

Snow-shoeing! Nothing beats it! I agree with the hockey comment, too! :) We hardy Canadians know what we need to do to stay fit in the winter. If we don't embrace winter, we balloon!! :)

So far its been a mild winter...but a no fail fun day is sledding !! The hike up the hill isn't as exciting as the wild ride down, but my glutes will thank me for the extra attention :)
