my family went zero waste and as a result no longer buy food wrapped in plastic - we buy bulk and bring cloth bags and jars for transport. i'm amazed at how much junk comes in plastic, and how many wholesome, good foods don't! also packing my lunch the night before and making big batches of stuff and freezing really helps when there is a time crunch in the morning or for getting dinner ready.

I don't keep a food journal yet. I just started and actually bought a Eat Clean Diet book over the weekend. I bring my own lunch to work it helps keep me on track and not eating junk food!

I use a calorie counting app, which is constantly keeping me accountable. And I can look back during the week to see what I was feeling at the time I was eating certain foods. My cooler is my lifesaver. I noticed early on that when I didn't bring it, I made terrible decisions throughout the whole day, and would beat myself up about it. With my cooler foods, I don't feel overly hungry or sluggish, but vibrant and energetic.

I use Fitday.com as my food journal, though when I was losing my weight, I also kept a little notebook with me, then transferred the info from that to fitday. My cooler is my #1 tool! It goes with me everywhere! As long as it's packed and with me, I can handle anything the day throws at me!

I keep a food and workout journal. I plan my meals each evening for the next day. I also try to prepare several days lunches and snacks on Sunday. I pack a cooler for both myself and my husband. He has lost 25 pounds by doing this for him and he looks hotter then ever! I am seeing my old body return and I am so excited!! My husband tells me I look awesome and hot!I feel better when I eat better and the key is being prepared, lack of planning makes for poor choice. I am not spending 5 days in the gym just to ruin it by lack of planning!!

I plan what I am going to eat for the entire day ahead of time. that way I'm not searching for something to eat when I'm hungry and make wrong choices. Its already lined out for me. I also keep a food log just to make sure I am eating enough and often enough. It really helps me stay on track. I also log my workouts in.

I am just now committing to an EC lifestyle, after many false starts. Had a real break-through last night when I realized that I never need to eat more than 1/2 of a restaurant portion. Even though I usually select healthier options (a plain turkey sandwich and small salad and water withl lemon) vs. My friends pizza and beer...I was eating EVERYTHING that was placed in front of me out of habit. Also, breaking my workout into manageable tranches is helping. Only doing a 1/2 hour walk on an Inclined treadmill on days when I am sleep deprived, rather than nothing at all should add up over time.
