Get an Early start!!

If I don't get an early workout in on my busy days I won't get to it. Then it throws off my eating schedule and the rest of my day is in flux. If I workout first thing then I can start my day off with a plan.

Get up early! There is nothing better than getting it done first thing in the morning. Then you don't have to think about for the rest of the day. There is no other way!

With the kids and husband, if I waited until I had time, I would never workout! I schedule around everyone, sometimes doing my workouts (like I am currently) at 6:30am, sometimes doing them after work at 5:30pm, and whenever I can manage on the weekends. When the kids are in sports, I workout while they practice. For me, being flexible ensures that I do get in my gym-time, no matter when it is. :-)

If my day is crazy I plan ahead, get in bed early the night before and get my butt in the gym at the crack of dawn. My workouts are scheduled in my iPhone even if I'm not working with trainer. It's a priority just like any other appt, and I always feel better after a great workout

Yup!! I too schedule my workout time mostly early in the mornings, That's when I have the most energy to lift those weights!! And.... if I'm too tired in the evenings, I would not have missed my workout because it's been done!! :))

As staggeringly boring as this may sound, keep a large daily schedule/planner nailed to the wall!
I found with 2 young kids at school and having a full-time job, the only guarantee of sanity was to prepare the week's schedule on Sunday evening with the kids. That way, they could see what everyone was up to during the week and how things could - or not - be shifted around to accommodate last minute changes. However, there was a limit to "last minute": none of us was allowed to suddenly change an event on the planner because we felt like it. The planner was also used to note down dinners for the week. Perfect for managing costs and expectations!

I did briefly stop using the planner when someone accused me of being highly retentive. I fell apart at the seams and gained weight! Who would have figured....
