When I saw the Off the Couch magazine, I resolved to change my lifestyle. I am becoming more active and making cleaner eating choices. My change is coming slowly. At times I'm frustrated with myself because I know I could push harder. Other times, I am pleased that the progress is slow because then it will stick.

Thanks for asking!

Goal #1 - Compete in my first bikini comp... it isn't here yet, but it's just over 4 weeks out and I'm so excited!

Goal #2 - Do handstand push ups away from the wall.. I can do handstand push ups with the wall as support and I am slowly bringing my feet out away from the wall and able to just be supported by my core strength little by little. Still working though!!

My goals for 2011 are going quite well, I vowed that I would start working out more and I have been. I choose a workout from Oxygen and stick it through till the entire workout is done.
As for eating clean I have been doing alot more in planning out my meals and getting things ready so that I am not left without a healthy option. I still slip up some but I have been making a real effort lately. I just have a hard time with mixing the protien and carb for every meal but I am getting it!

My New Years goal was to remain healthy in every aspect of my life (mind, body & spirit) . I have been doing lots of yoga, cardio, strength, clean eating and trying not to stress about the little things in life. So far, so good, although I really want to start meditating 20 minutes a day to keep my worrying in check. I could improve on that.

Yes! I promised myself that I would improve the way I was eating. Rather than 1500 calories a day from any source I would strive to make sure those 1500 calories came from clean sources. I have managed to do this and have only a handful of things that are processed in my life on a minimal basis. Yay Me!!!

Yes I did! I completed by first 5k on Saturday! My mom and my sister also walked it with me! My next resolution to complete is walking the Mackinaw Bridge on Labor Day! (For those not familiar with Michigan, the "Mighty Mac" is 5 miles long, spanning Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. )

I continue to eat clean and I also workout 7 days a week. I have recently broken through a plateau and I am not sure why except that we recently added a puppy to our household and I have been the one who takes him out in the yard and walks him at least twice a day. I am not complaining but I have not been doing anything else different so the added exercise has made a big difference. My weight has been stable for about a month now. I don't feel I need to loose any more weight but just tighten certain areas up here and there.

Yes I have! I resolved to have a 6th meal only if I really need it and that meal is usually protein powder mixed with water. It tides me over until the next morning perfectly. I also sleep better as an added bonus!
