Technically I did not "try" this clean food for the first time this week...it's green smoothies. I have been perfecting my green smoothies for a few months now & this week I came up with my own recipe successfully. I used raw baby spinach, mint, vanilla soy protein powder, hydrated chia seeds, banana & water. YUM! They have been delicious & last night I noticed a fab glow to my skin.

Hey Team, I am totally new to Clean Eating. I am an avid Oxygen, Off the Couch everything RKP. So recently I decided to purchase the Clean Eating Books & make a change.

So I went to the grocery store & stayed on the outer isles. I came home & made a spinach, green onion & tomato omelette. I was in heaven, the BEST breakfast EVER. I stopped eating eggs years ago & I have to admit I missed it.
I'm looking forward to my Clean Eating journey.

Thank You Tosca

Quinoa, Brussels Sprouts, Sweet Potatoes ~ Yum!

I LOVE quinoa and would have NEVER tried it without the ECD. I will just eat it with my grilled chicken or fish and salsa. I love salsa and put it on everything, but now I read the labels and find the salsa that is natural and no sugar.

I remember from one of Tosca's posts about finding the way you like foods prepared. Maybe it is not the food you do not like, but how it was made.

Revisited sweet potatoes and they are also my new love! I slice them up, mist with some olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and grill. This is the same with brussels sprouts, depending on size I slice in half or 3rds, mist with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder and grill. Simple and yummy! (I use the grill for almost everything, but roasted would also be great.) The mushy, boiled version of these or the sugar, sweet version of the sweet potatoes, well I was not a fan!

Butter beans also known as Lima Beans. They are nice cold or hot. I grilled some fresh tomatoes and sliced a hard boiled egg for lunch

I've been using the ECD book for my clients who have bulimia. My mother had Diabetes and during the last year of her life I took care of her foods, and remembered that eating 6 small meals a day, protein rich was the best way to keep her blood sugars in control and balance her insulin. When I started treating Bulimia, I found that they responded instantly to this eating plan which really made me realize the never get tested for their blood sugar levels, and yet it has to be soring out of control with the amount of carbs they binge on, and then purging directly afterwards.

I then found Tosca's book and it's the only book ever written for weight loss that follows the glycemic index eating plan of 6 small meals, protein rich.

I found the "hole" in the day was the 3-4 pm slot, for everyone, even myself,
and when we plug that one, it's like magic! Eating dinner earlier is better too.

And SMALL meals is the optimum serving size, so some hints, we use SMALL bowls, plates and even forks and spoons!

My clients love it, and it's so great to send them home with Tosca's book for future reference. A lot of young women today don't know how to cook, how to shop, or what to eat. Having this kind of meal plan really helps them a lot.

And the shopping lists save me HOURS of work, outlining the programs ...
Love it. Kathy www.bulimiabreakthrough.ca
