Being Earth-friendly is easy... with a little time and patience, you can do several things to reduce your carbon foot print while improving your health and that of your family's! We grow our own garden, complete with herbs, greens, fruits, and vegetables. We shop at our local Farmers Market (Sprouts, in Chula Vista, CA) and utilize material/resueable grocery bags instead of plastic or paper bags. I always take the thick, blue rubber bands off of our broccoli and Kale and use them for other things, such as holding a pair of salad tongs closed, or I will often tie the top of my cheesecloth shut while I am making yogurt cheese. we do not use BPA plastic containers or baggies, but only glass containers to refrigerate and freeze our food in. I often cook in bulk and eliminate the need to run back and forth to the grocery by weekly food planning. We recycle everything in their own sepparate bins, as well as batteries and electronics. We never throw things like that away! When you start the Eat-Clean Diet lifestyle, you essentially cut back on meats and fats that come from animals, and switch to healthier alternatives such as coconut oil & other types of proteins. This saves the lives of animals, too! We also "Strike Sugar" as Tosca likes to say; so just think how much of the earth we are saving by having less and less sugar bags and boxes to dump it in???

I eat a plant based diet which reduced my carbon footprint a lot! It all started with meatless Mondays! I planted a garden in my back yard. We have a rain barrel and a compost. I have been visiting local markets for produce this summer. So yummy! I also started running to my kettle bell classes and I leave my car at home! All this since starting to eat clean a year ago. It is amazing what you can do when you pay attention!
