Had a great week at work, for a change, now on to a three day weekend, bought my Feb issue of Clean Eating.. made the Thai Chili which our eldest dtr had recommended, so delish, and yes its a do-over.. enough for tomorrow the hubbys dinner and mine too.. then sunday i will make Double Duty Ginger chicken.. I have made this a few times as it is like the C.E. cookbook says Quick and Easy.. mmm my kind of dinners.. Then one of us will make a fancy dinner for Valentines Day from one of the books or magazines.. going to stay home and save some money.. My biggest thing is portion control and how to not eat too much.. I am doing OK with the whole packing of the lunch bag thing, its the dinner meal portion.. I need to cut down a bit I think.. AND I have to get back out walking.. with our awful roads and weather so far this winter, haven't been to far with the doggie but shall get going on that.. I find if I go right after work then its done for the day and it helps me unwind if its been one of those days.. Good luck to all.. Sue

This week, I found it challenging to keep myself in a positive frame of mind at work. I was letting little things annoy me and I felt frustrated with my colleagues. Last night's workout at the gym reminded me that when I'm feeling antsy or overly negative,a good sweat session relaxes and recharges me! Yay for endorphins!

My fribromyalgia has been making it hard to exercise, but I am still trying. I won't give up.

My biggest challenge this week was deciding to make this change and start eating the way I know I should. I read the book over the summer and was just overwhelmed with an infant and wanted those brownies. Yep - knew what my response to the book should be and willfully ignored it. Sounds like a disobedient child doesn't it? Well, finally I am fed up! 37 years old, 5 foot 4 inches and 168 pounds. Not a good thing. On top of which, I LOVE sugar. I eat two desserts a day, Every. single. day! No more! My biggest challenge was to get started and today I have. I even uploaded photos (not pretty!) for the 3rd annual ECD makeover challenge.

my hardest challenges have been all the junk food while living at my parents. But ive been detouring around the treats OR measuring out small amounts and incorporating them into my clean eating plan. I feel im doing well, cant wait for my new house, 1 WEEK!

My challenge on Thursday was not eating everything in sight. I have been doing great for the last 3 months and Thursday, out of nowhere, I was starving and I had eaten right all day. I think it was boredom and I prayed I wasn't going to fall back into my old ways. Well, unfortunately, I gave it and saw no way to fight it, but today I was totally back on track and feeling great!!

My challenge this week was extra work commitments which meant I couldn't teach my usual 2 back to back classes Monday night. I missed 90 minutes of exercise on a night which usually sets my frame of mind for the rest of the week. I got around it by changing into my workout gear as my husband drove us home from work, then did a 30 minute high intensity interval workout of my eliptical machine & multi-joint/compound moves, before heading back to the work event we had. Normally if I miss workouts my clean eating falls away, but I have made so many strength gains since clean eating began Jan 1st, that I stuck to it this week with impressive tenacity. Next week is busy too, but I will be able to workout Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, so I won't feel quite so concerned about "going backwards" from lack of workouts.
