I plan to cook an entirely clean meal including a nice bread with whole wheat flour and honey. I am very excited by my first holiday with a fuly clean menu. Date and fig bars for dessert -sweet, yummy, clean.

My husband and I are hosting Thanksgiving this year and ALL my dishes will be clean. I have gathered recipes from several different sources and and tweeked them all to fit into our clean eating lifestyle. By hosting the festivities this year I can ensure that we stick to our clean eating ways.

I will have my clean eating breakfast and only munching on fruit and nuts before dinner. Then I plan on eating the traditional turkey dinner without the gravy and stuffing and watching my portions. I am going to splurge and have a piece of pie on the Holiday and MAYBE the day after. That is it, then it's back to eating clean.

I am going to make sure I eat breakfast and lunch. That way I'm not starving when dinner comes around. Usually that is my main problem because of traveling and everything - then I am way too satisfied at the end of dinner. NOT GOOD!

Instead of having the sweet potato casserole. I am bringing my own sweet potatoes to bake in the oven with EVOO and Salt! Yum! Yum! By-pass the sweets brought, if possible, and eat more of green salad!

Plan, plan, plan and more planning. However, I will not beat myself up if something unexpected happens or I eat something not planned. It has to be balance.

For the most part the meal my family is preparing will be pretty lean, such as the turkey, asparagus, and broccoli. I will stay away from the canned sweet potatoes (yuck!) and stuffing. I always pack a cooler and nibble on clean foods while the rest feast on fatty hors devores and sweets. I am determined to have the healthiest and fittest holiday ever! I will also be looking forward to keeping on my training schedule!
