Oats, brown rice, quinoa, wheat germ, pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts, natural peanut butter, ground chia and ground flax seed, fresh fruit ( apples, oranges, grapefruit, whatever is in season), frozen berries, kale, swiss chard, several different lettuces and baby lettuces, braising greens, veggies like celery, onions, garlic, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes etc.
Beans, dried and some canned. Cooked beans in the freezer, cooked grains in the freezer in bags sized for three days or so of meals.

I love using the Eat Clean recipes in the books ( I now have several) and I love having the items on hand to be creative too.

I'm very new to Clean Eating, but so far, I'm in love with it. The things that I have found that I love to keep on hand are: Pantry: Seeds/Nuts, Quinoa, Brown Rice, Barley, Variety of Beans/Legumes, Kashi Go Lean Instant Vanilla Oatmeal, Dry Oatmeal, For when I have a sweet tooth, I use Kashi TLC pumpkin/pecan Layered Granola Bars... Still need to learn what spices I can use... For my Fridge: Ezekiel 4:9 Bread, Tons of fresh Veggies: Tomatoes, Avocados, Squash, Zucchini, Eggplant, Spinach, Dark types of Lettuce, Eggs, Butter (Never heard of Almond butter, until I just read some of the other posts... guess I'll try that), Almond Milk (hope the flavors are still okay, because my daughter and I love the Dark Choc and the Vanilla), Soy Coffee Creamer, Pure Orange Juice, Organic Fruit Smoothie drinks... I don't have the blender to make my own, and prefer to drink my fruit... Any Ideas and input would be greatly appreciated... But, I am on an incredibly tight budget, so that is a definite issue...

Great question! I can't wait to read everyone's response to this! My staples are as follows:

PANTRY: Whole, dry oats; Quinoa; Long grain brown rice; Wheat berries; Flax seed; Wheat Germ; Millet; Barley; Wild Rice; Sun dried tomatoes; Varieties of dried Legumes/beans; Variety of unsalted nuts; sunflower & pumpkin seeds (pepitos); Popcorn seeds; Tea bags of several varieties, Chammomile being my favorite; Coconut oil; EVOO; organic peanutbutter; Wasa Crackers, and a variety of vinegars and seasonings.

FRIDGE: Eggs, Plain Greek yogurt; Almond milk; Grilled chicken breasts (I have at least 6 grilled breasts in fridge at all times); Variety of salad fixings and greens; Carrots; Cucumbers; Water bottles with filtered water (I fill 2 bottles with filtered water, nightly, and re-stock the fridge with them. Each bottle holds 1.5 liters of water, totalling my daily 3 liter needs); String Cheese sticks; a bowl of sliced fruits (usually apples, oranges, mango, berries with 1 lemon squeezed over the top).

These are my ultimate staples. I buy and prepare them every week. I no longer rely on coffee in the mornings to wake me up, nor do I purchase sugar or refined foods/boxed/pre-packaged foods. I love always having my go-to staples on hand! It makes my Clean Eating journey so much easier!

I'm new at trying my hand at Eating Clean. But, I have already gotten into the habit of keeping plain greek yogurt with an assortment of berries on hand. Walnuts and almonds and fixings for salads are a mainstay. Can't wait to read and learn more as I follow my journey to healthier eatting.
