After purchasing the Eat Clean Diet book in Aug 09 I jumped right into Cooler 1. I did not find it difficult at all especially since I really was not working out the way that I do now.
The only thing that I will caution people is that the FISH kind of stinks up the office and other's don't appreciate it as much. :D
I lost 8lbs in the first week which launched me off into following the other recipes with more of a drive and more of a repect for the other foods which we are allowed to eat. The cooler allowed me to REALLY experience the taste of foods without the drowning of dressing and sauces. I still used spices but no salt.

I think the cooler 1 concept is great. I just have some issues with naked salads, veggies and meat. I have a really hard time eating them. I think cooler 2 is a better option for me with some bread carbs.

I have tried but not a 100%. It makes me feel really yucky when I am doing it. I have a hard time eating all the veggies and really low carbs. I just started today on cooler 1 again. I am going to try my best to stick with it for 7 days.

It is on my "to do" list. I do cooler 2 and have been having slow and steady results with that. Since I started that in Jan/10 I have lost 22 lbs... Now I average about 4lbs a week loss but when that drops below that I intend to do cooler 1. Alternatively if I am feeling like I need more structure to get me back on track I would use it then too... But honestly the EC Diet is working so well for me... I love it... I love food!! I love that I can enjoy it all.. no hardships here at all!

In response to the questions: Cooler one is layed out in detail in Tosca's Eat Clean Diet books, if you don't have one already I'd recomend them highly, I refer back to them constantly, and they are also loaded with great recipes! Eat Clean Diet Recharged is a great start :)

I have been meaning to try it but for some reason do not think I am disciplined enough to get through it. I do eat clean though but love my carbs (especially pasta).

What is cooler 1? I keep seeing references to it but can't find anything about it on the website.

Thank you!

I'm 134 today which I haven't been in a year and I am promoting this diet and lifestyle to EVERYONE!

Cooler 1 is an amazing jump start and I love the menu's in the ECD Recharged book. I need structure and discipline in the beginning of a diet and this is PERFECT!!!!!

Great results both times I tried it... the first time I tried it is when I first started eating clean.. I figured it was a nice regimented way to get into the groove without allowing myself very much room to cheat. I lost 10lbs in 2 weeks.. Looking back now it seems too much.. but I was also over 300lbs and the weight went running off my body back then. The second time I did it was back in jan when I hit a plateua... I lost 4lbs in two weeks, it got me back on track and the weight starting rolling off at a healthy rate again.
