What I love about the Eat Clean Community is being able to try new and clean eating reciepes. I have a very picky family and since I have been eating clean I have been loosing weight and on top of all that I am excercising. I love being able to find someone who has taken a traditional receipe, that is usually loaded in fat and calories or sugar, and making a clean eating version. I have tried so many of these different types of receipes and I have loved every single one of them. Being a part of this community is wonderful and I would like to talk with fellow clean eaters and share the enjoyment of eating clean.

I hope someone can help me. I am 58 years old, female, about 40 pounds overweight. Last year, I had my left kidney removed because my doctor thought I had a tumor in it. Turns out, it was not a tumor, but they were not able to determine that unless they took the kidney out. Bottom line, my perfectly healthy left kidney is now just a memory, and I, fortunately, have one remaining healthy kidney.

I am limited to 45 grams of protein per day, so I am on the low end of the scale as far as protein intake goes. I must adhere to this faithfully to keep my one kidney happy. I am on 1500 mg. of sodium a day, so that's great for my kidneys as well.

My question: How can I use Tosca's Clean Eating Plan with my restricted protein allotment? I am going nuts trying to figure this out!! I am also taking in 75 carbs daily, a "middle of the road" number that is supposed to help burn fat.

Can anyone help me to maneuver my way through Tosca's plan with the protein restriction in mind? Thanks so much!!

I love, love, love the EC community and have made several connections since getting onboard in January 2011. I try to log in daily and on the days when I'm feeling really good about my progress the posts, recipes, updates energize and motivate me to do more. On the days when I am losing focus or feeling like I'm not getting anywhere I get re-inspired by reading the posts and seeing that I'm not alone and that often times my issues are small in comparison so it helps me stop the pity party train that I'm on. I have never taken the opportunity to participate in an on-line community before and this has been a great experience so far. It has become an important part of my new lifestyle transformation. It's been great!!!!

What I love about the Clean Eat Diet Community is it's ability to bring together so many people who are tackling the same goals with a positive attitude and wealth of knowledge. I love to log on and read other people'e recipe's, opinions and ideas and use them to inspire my own day to day life! Without a doubt, there are days when you are feel like cooking less or not hitting the gym as hard, but reading a little inspiration from other members can change that right around and inspire me to do even more! In the end, I end up not only realizing that I had the energy in me, but the Clean Eating Community helped encourage me to achieve my goals and make my dreams a reality. THANK YOU!
