Towel, bottle of water, jump rope, timer, mp3 player, Garmin Gps, reflective tape, band aids, sunscreen, hat, hair clips, body glide, binder full of workouts, pencil, workout gloves, workout clothes and running shoes. Some days more, some days less, but these are the staples!

Wow, my workout bag is skimpy in comparison. I go early in the am and come home to shower before the kids get up for school so I have my gym shoes, a towel, lock, membership tags, weight gloves, my workout plan, two mp3 players (depending on my mood) and about ten packs of gum.

I have clothes, shoes, shampoo, soap, etc to get ready for work. I go to the gym in my workout clothes. I go straight to work from there. I also carry a lock, water, a clean towel, workout plans, swimsuit, a book for those rare occasions I use the recum. bike, and a iPod.

I second the "be prepared," method of packing a gym bag! I have three or four sets of shorts/shirts/sports bras/socks, running shoes, sprinting shoes, flip flops, a swimsuit, swim cap, goggles, and all the miscellaneous items needed to restore myself to a presentable state post-workout! My desk at work also has ball caps, towels, and usually some extra clothes just in case. Luckily my co-workers are used to me looking like I just got back from the gym...because I usually did. :P

I pack my gym bag for the week -- bring it to work on Monday and bring it home on Friday, so I need to be prepared!

I have three pairs of shorts/ workout pants, three pairs of socks, five shirts, a bra, a knee sleeve, workout gloves, three sweat towels and a couple of large towels for the shower, running shoes and, of course, soap.

I rinse out my clothes and towels and hang them up in my office to dry overnight. Working at RKP (Robert Kennedy Publishing) helps with this ... gym clothes strewn about doesn't cause a second look around here!
