Growing up we always ate dinner together but as we all started doing separated activities we stopped and only had dinner on occasion together.

Once my hubby and I got married - this was a must for our family. Even the babies sat in their chairs at dinner with us.

We have an advantage over some - I homeschool so we now eat all meals together. Hubby even gets to come home most of the time for lunch.

Having dinner as a family is the best way to stay in touch with each other, through a wonderful meal and great conversation. We always know what is going on with our children by having meals together.

Absolutely! We have busy lives with our two young teenage daughters but it's our special time to find out how everyone's day was, who has news to share and to really enjoy each other and discuss things. We laugh a lot at the dinner table: I wouldn't want it any other way!

Yes. We always have breakfast and dinner together but the babies are still young and I have tremendous support from my workplace. The test will come this fall when school and sports start! Hopefully I have planted the seed so that at least we make it when possible!

I live alone and therefore eat alone. But I do always make sure to eat at the table, and not read or watch tv until after

We do eat together as a family, but not every night. Realistically, we have 2 older children in competitive gymnastics and they have different nights that they practice. They are gone up to 3 hours on any given night and it's usually right around dinner. Many times we try to have breakfast together instead. Our youngest daughter is home with us and we usually eat together with her and then we do have one meal on the weekends that's together as a whole family.

I have two girls (9&13) and eating dinner together is a great way for us to stay connected. We also cook and prepare food together. We talk, share and laugh at the table. Despite everyone's busy schedule, eating together is a priority, and leftover night is my favorite...less cooking, more chatting, and time for UNO or a walk afterwards!

Still do... both the girls are grown and moved on but DH and I still sit at the dinner table, no tv, no music, no phone answering and have our meal... ok.. so after 24 years some meals are quieter than others but it still feels right. And after 24 years there are still some nights when I stand in the kitchen eating supper at the counter and he grabs a plate of nachos....

I try to when we have my stepdaughter but, between swim lessons, homework, and puppy training classes, sometimes it doesn't work out.

Yes, always. We tend to eat a little to late though. I love making my eat clean dinners. My family has tried many of Tosca's recipes and their current favorite is stir fry chicken with the garlic sauce.

We eat most of our meals together because my husband works from home and my girls are fairly young. However, the emphasis should be on families eating a meal together. Doesn't have to be dinner but some people misinterpret the question.
Eating together is very important and it also teaches kids about food.

Yes, we do. It's just my husband & I, but he always waits for me to get home from the gym, shower & then we eat. However, we are a bit naughty, & eat in front of tv.
