I have set my New Year's resolution to put in full force eating clean and running. I have never liked running, but my cousin's do Marathons all the time, and honestly I want to be part of that fun too. And I thinking eating-clean is very important and it's time to make the change :) 2011 will be the year I find the real me.

I'm literally taking back my body in 2011 - taking it back from all those bad habits that have found their way into my life over the last few years!! Today I had an orientation at a gym I've just joined so I know how to properly set-up the equipment and I had a workout plan created to get me started. I have been reading Oxygen magazine and the Eat Clean books for some time now and have already incorporated a lot of the healthier options into my diet, now I need to FOCUS. I have read in many articles that nutrition contributes to 80 to 90% of your success when getting into shape - so, in 2011 I will be focusing on the nutritional aspects more as well as continuing with my plans to work out - who knows, maybe I'll even tackle that 5km I've been thinking about!!

I'd like to get back on track with the eating and exercise, so that I can lose the last 10 pounds of baby weight that's been hanging around for nearly a year. I want to get back into my pre-baby shape before we start trying for number 2 in the spring.

I have been wanting to do this ever since I started reading Oxygen Magazine. I am going to be 48 and I think it is time that I start this and do it once and for all. I want to be healthy and feel and look better. I want to feel good in my skin. I know that it is not too late. It is never too late. I just have to set my mind and stick with it. I am hoping to achieve my weight loss goal by my birthday in June. I weigh 183 and I want to weigh 140. I want to say no to sugar and junk food and yes and yes to healthy eating.

I am new here and I am addicted to comfort foods and would love to break the cycle once and for all. I want to learn how to eat clean and never go back to depending on food to calm my nerves and comfort me. I want to rely soley on God for those things and also embrace the support from my family and close friends that I am so blessed to have. I have no idea where to start. My start day is literally Jan 1st as I plan to eat clean for an entire year. I have no idea if I'll be able to do it so please, feel free to give me some advice, it is very welcome!
