My father is the one person who has truly inspired me to maintain my healthy lifestyle. He went through stage 3 colon cancer almost 10 years ago--dying twice on the operating table, and muscle wasting to the point where he could not walk--to being in complete remission since then. He made several changes in his health habits after the cancer, yet still suffered a brain hemorrhage due to genetically-based high blood pressure this past July. Even after all of this, he came back a stronger individual who now is working in physical therapy to get his full balance back in record time. His will, strength, determination, and drive inspire me to put everything I have into my clean eating choices and exercise routine. At the age of 61, he is living his healthiest lifestyle ever because he truly understands the value of getting not only a second, but a THIRD chance!

When I began my weight loss journey last September I had no clear plan for how I was going to eat or exercise. I joined a gym and floundered around with my diet for the first month or so until I found Tosca's books.

My birthday is in December. At that time I was headed towards the age of 44. Discovering that Tosca had made a similar weight loss journey in her 40's and seeing how far she had come made all the difference to me in terms of inspiration and motivation.

Tosca's sane and healthy diet plans, recipes with fresh, clean, tasty ingredients, and her workout plans have given me clear goals, roadmaps to follow, and herself as an excellent model of the sort of healthy, fit, mature woman that is realistic for me to strive towards.

Over the last year I have successfully lost about 80 lbs, and kept it off. Now entering my second year of living a healthy lifestyle I am no longer so focused on just losing weight, but on building a more beautiful, proportionate, sculpted body. I am taking Belly Dance classes and I now look forward to showing off my newly strong, lean, feminine body at our bi-annual Gala performances on stage!

I'm turning 45 this December and I feel like my life has just begun. If Tosca can do what she has done, who knows what I may be capable of? Thank you Tosca!
