I have trouble finding time to get to the gym with my busy homeschool schedule with 5 children. I try to set a time to go to the gym no matter what is going on. I try not to schedule appts around that time etc. My goal is to do an hour a day, except Sundays. It works for the most part. I have children with special medical needs to so I am busy with that.

I teach a bootcamp class every MWF from 5:45 to 6:30. Since I am a personal trainer, I charge a fee for the class. We have about 25 women for this six week session -- all friends and neighbors of mine. It is highly motivating to work out with friends in a large group setting. We laugh, work hard, and encourage each other as we squat, do pushups, planks, ab work, circuits, sprints, etc. We also start out the class with prayer for the daily "cares and concerns" of each woman present. Friends, fitness, faith, and I'm getting PAID!

I went from almost no exercise (even took the elevator instead of the stairs!) to working out for about 1 1/2 hours 6 days/wk (and taking the stairs instead of the elevator!). I've been doing this (and eating clean of course!) for about 4 wks. I decided that I would only weigh myself every 4 wks to avoid any possible discouragement. I LOST 17 LBS in 4 wks!!! I am so excited and motivated - but even more than that, my clothes fit better and I feel so energetic I can't even begin to express the difference. I get up w/ my hubby at 4am when he goes to work and do 4 miles on the bike and 1 mile on the treadmill. I follow that up w/ several yoga stretches. Also, 3 days/wk I use 3 lb handweights to work my arms. The difference is incredible! So I guess my answer is...I just do it! It is becoming a habit that I don't have to think about - and if I would think about not doing it, I remember how TERRIBLE I felt before and how TERRIFIC I feel now!!!

Rehabbing after knee injury and surgery. The knee itself has progressed fabulously, it's the quad recovery that I underestimated. My surgery included a lateral release, essentially, slicing through a part of the quadriceps. I am astonished at how much that's effected my leg strength, flexibility and more. It's certainly a challenge, but won't stop me :-) I listen very carefully now to my body, but I keep plugging along in my training, doing my physical therapy exercises and my workouts, and eating clean. I am overcoming - with every step, with every day.

The winter blues have been challenging my mind and body for weeks. To overcome this I just get my butt out there, even if for only a bit. Fresh air helps, yoga too! I feel alot better about myself when I can still manage to move my body ( which is trying to hibernate!) Yhanks for sharing your tips everyone!

I hit a plateau with my cardio, so I have mixed things up by adding in spin class 3-4 times a week. One area I really need to get back into is steady weight training, although I have added in weights to my ab routine.

I think my challenge is breaking from what i am doing, running and a bit of weights and doing something else to switch it up. Sometimes it feels like i am abandoning what i know is working. I have started doing some cross country, which i know is great exercise, but then i feel like i need to do more, just cause i am stuck with the usual two? Make sense??

I'm on a lower-protein diet because of kidney concerns, so it's really hard to get energized for my intense workouts. I've shifted cardio to the evening, which has helped. I'm also trying to replace one cardio session with another strength-training session. Lastly, I've got a call into my MD asking if I can increase protein after this assessment!

Lately I have been dreading my work outs, low energy. I need to switch something up!
