I make a batch of Oatmeal Protein Bars each week and wrap them up in plastic and they are ready to go. They contain all the ingredients fo a complete breakfast. In the mornings, I just grab one and go.

I have all our bags packed and any school work put away before bed. I have my older daughter (7) pack her lunch which has been prepared that morning, while I am gettting breakfast organized . Coffee is done the night before and on an automatic timer. My husband lunches are all frozen each week (left overs from dinners usually) and ready to hit his lunch bag.We keep all our snack in a low cupboard so both girls can help with those.Sticking to a routine works the best. We have times for everything we do so we all get out on time.

Does anyone have a substitute for orzo that isn't white. I miss so many recipes with Orzo and cannot find it in multi grain or whole wheat. ThanksI pack small portion containers every Sunday and Wednesday so they are easy to grab. All the prep is very hard and can be time consuming. I am open to ideas.

I cook all my proteins and long cooking carbs on Sundays - enough for a whole week - so that in the mornings I can just grab a portion, pack the cooler and go. I plan all meals for the week during one day on the weekend and that way there's no excuses during the busy weekdays!

I try to get as many things ready the night before that I can--pack lunches (I pack my husband's lunch everyday too!), get the kettle (for my tea) and the coffee machine (for hubby) all ready so I just need to push the buttons. Sometimes I will even portion out my oatmeal with protein powder and flaxseed into a bowl, so all I have to do it add water and microwave in the morning. Actually, this morning I ate my oatmeal as I was putting on my make-up to save even more time (I slept in!). I also make sure my bag is packed the night before with runners and workout clothes for the next day. This little bit of preparation the night before really makes for a more enjoyable and not-so-rushed morning!

as well as doing what you can the night before, delegate. involve the kids by assinging them small tasks to help lighten your load and teach them the importance of making time for the right food. and don't forget dad, surely he can pitch in a minute or 3? oh and prioritize, some things can wait until you get home don't let yourself get off track or distracted by checking emails or reading or watching tv. try to make the mornings an enjoyable part of the day and not high stress, it sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Sometimes I pack my cooler the night before and put the coffee and water in the coffee pot so all I have to do is push the button when I wake up and grab the cooler when I leave. But who am I kidding? Nights are busy too! This rarely happens!!

Make &Pack; everything the night before so you can grab & go! Some items you can even do on weekend and portion them out for the week in fridge to make even weeknights easier.

I do everything the night before - clothes out, food packed so when I wake up all I have to do is get dressed, make up on, hot water in my oats and get coffee. I eat my nicely cooked oats when I get to work!

Breakfast planning is key in my house for busy mornings. I usually do one of two things, which are both prepared the night before. I will either whip up a good smoothie if I know I will not have time to sit and eat. Most often I stick with my oats. I prepare a bowl of overnight oats, when I wake up the next morning I have the option of eating them as is out the fridge, or popping the bowl into the microwave for warmy, yummy oatmeal!!
