Even though I was short on time, I went to the gym over lunch and managed to get in a quick upper body workout. Then I took a little bit of time for myself while my husband and sons were away for an hour.

I got up at 5:30am so I could run with a friend at 6:00! We ran 5K and it was one of those hard days... but I just kept putting one food in front of the other. And then rewarded myself with a "clean" breakfast!

I woke up my husband t 4:30AM and we got ready for the gym that opens at 5AM. He did cardio while I did the Bicep workout posted in Oxygen magazine in the August issue. I am going to try to stick with it to get my pump on! Wish me luck...

I taught a spin class at 6:00 this morning! I packed a healthy breakfast and decided to wear more comfy clothes to work instead of the heels and business look! :)

I am 2 weeks into restructuring the way I eat, move, and think. The first 10 days were pretty easy, running on the fresh prospect of an exciting change. However, in the past couple of days I hit the familiar resistance that inevitably comes when I try to make a change. IT IS VERY POWERFUL. Yesterday I skipped working out AND ate a big handful of cookies washed down with 8 oz of red wine. But I am stronger than my resistance to change.

So the good thing that I did for myself was to get honest about what happened, account for every morsel in my food journal and then this morning, drag myself out of bed (very much against my will) and do the workout I had on my schedule. I felt like a million bucks, and still feel great. This morning I also ate the breakfast I said I would eat. And my intention for the rest of the day is to clearly plan my food and then follow through eating it.

I also sat down here and fessed up. That was a good thing. Now I feel like I can keep moving forward, and use this little challenge to make myself stronger. The way I see it, this resistance is evidence that I really am making a change. It's a precursor to what's about to happen on the scale--now that's good news!!

Wish me strength and focus, and I will do the same for you!
