A couple of years ago, I had a back injury that has taken quite some time to heal. Eating clean and exercise have helped my recoveryl. I don't ever want to take my health or my body for granted again. Feeling healthy & strong has motivated me to train for my first triathlon-at 41! Wish me luck!

I'm not even 30 and my hip and knee hurt. If someone mentions going somewhere or doing something I ask myself "am I too fat for that", things like amusement parks and plane rides. NO MORE!

I noticed recently that there is a kettle bell instructor certification seminar coming very close to my home town in a couple weeks. It is a very intense program and in order to be certified you have to not only have the knowledge but pass a physical test. I really want that certification so it prompted me to really kick it up a notch and prepare.

The thing that has motivated me most recently was having to go under the knife again for repairing my L3 disc. I am only 43yrs old and NEVER want to go to surgery again. I also am prediabetic and don't want to go full blown. So I have taken my health in to my own hands and am eating better and working out 3-4x a week. Getting old shouldn't include going to surgery or having life threatening illnesses.

Besides turning 30 this September, I want to be in great shape and feel comfortable in with my body.

Yesterday was the first day that I tried the eat clean diet, though I am not finished with the book, I did eat every 2.5 to 3 hours, and everything I ate was clean. I felt fantastic by last night! Not once yesterday did I feel like I needed to take a nap! I had energy up to the point where I thought I wouldn't be able to fall asleep! This morning I woke up refreshed; getting out of bed has never been so easy! I am excited to start day 2.
