Does going to the gym make you feel better after a bad day?

Definitely!!! It gives me a real high and after a bad day I take out the stress through a tough workout.. It is very calming and it is all about me.

I was thinking about this yesterday. A few years ago I would have a bad day at work and I would come home and have some drinks. It never really solved anything and would only make a depression worse if I was already heading down that path. Alcohol is a depressant as it is.

Then I started running. I would go for runs by the bay where I lived in the afternoons rather than going for drinks. I would tell myself, "Okay, if you still want a drink after you run, you can have one then, " and I would always come home and feel so good not only would I not drink, but I would also crave something healthy to eat.

Now I'm always active, rarely drink and pretty much always happy!

With out a doubt! I can work out any frustrations and I always leave with a clearer head and a sense of peace. :)

Yes!!! The gym gives me a place to vent that frustration in a positive manner. Its is a place that is MINE away from the rest of my life and all the responsibilities that come with it. Its a place for ME TIME which I get little of.

Getting out and doing a workout after I have had a bad day really perks me up! I feel so much better about myself that I didn't waste the day being miserable but did something productive and healthy for myself.
Also waking up and working out is a great way to make sure that I dont have a bad day in the first place!
Works for me!

Going to the gym ABSOLUTELY (and ALWAYS) makes me feel better after a bad day. In fact, I find that the number one best time for me to exercise is when I least feel like doing it, and have the worst attitude. I go into the gym, and make myself do a hard workout. When I first start, it's a real struggle. By the end of these workouts, though, the effect on my mood and attitude is nearly miraculous! I <3 working out!
