I own my own business and sometimes can't find a minute to do anything other than answer phones, questions and treat patients. I am packing a days worth ahead of time and bringing it with me. I can't always make it to the fridge or prepare anything so lots of zip lock happening here.

I work 12 -hour nightshifts - 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. at the hospital - one of the worst places in the world for healthy eating. :) I make sure that I eat a healthy, filling meal either before I leave my apartment or I get to work early and hit the salad bar in the cafeteria. Love the salad bar, but that can get expensive. But whether I raid the salad bar or not, I always carry a lunchbag full of healthy goodies. I usually don't get hungry enough after 12 a.m. to eat a large meal; I like to eat every couple of hours: yogurt here; an apple with peanut butter there. Carrots, apples and yogurt after 12 a.m. are favs cause they fill me. Sometimes I'll eat oatmeal too. I'm still new to clean-eating so I've slipped down the pizza slope at times :( and I'm still learning what's NOT clean-eating: peanut butter? But I'm loving how I feel!

I work very irregular hours, because I'm fortunate enough to have a super flexible job that allows me to work when it's convenient for me; so long as I get the work done. I'm pretty new to eating clean, but I am finding that what works for me is to carry food with me, everywhere I go. I take items that don't need to be refrigerated (such as fresh fruit and nuts or protein bars) and I take enough to last me until I get home. I had to increase the size of my purse from tiny to moderate, but it's worth not giving in to convenience foods!
