My kids (16, 13, 10) always take clean lunches. Grilled chicken on a salad with lemon jucie, olive oil and a dash of salt for dressing. 2 fruits or veggies with hummus. Alternatively grilled chicken on whole grain bread with avocado and lettuce.

As the weather gets cooler, two younger ones (girls) take home made soups in their thermos (lentil soup, Tosca's potatoe and leek soup).

Girls also like making tuna with chopped red peppers, celery and green onions with lemon juice and olive oil. Or chickpeas with above veggies and dressing.

My girls love to try things out in the kitchen and this summer picked blueberries and were making healthy blueberry muffins to freeze and stock up for school year (unfortunately, as I discovered yesterday, their older brother has been eating the muffins, "nobody told me I wasn't suppose to eat them" - yeah right....I guess I should've texted him ;)
