Clean clean clean and loving it!! AND I ran faster on my long run this weekend because of it. My friends and family are starting to tire of my 'eat clean preaching' though...

I have to say that I am so proud of myself for this weekend, I went to the city for work and I did treat myself to a few drinks but as for the meals everything was fairly clean. The old me would have went overboard with everything but I opted for salads and veggies and dip instead of fries and other foods that would have made me feel terrible!

With all of the football games the temptation to eat junk is rampant around my house. I choose to eat clean this weekend so that I did not feel guilty for not doing so today. Working so hard training to lean out means that I have to be careful on the weekends or I get down on my progress at the beginning of the week. I did not want to scrub my energy for potato chips, so hummus and veggies won out!

I am on a 14-Day Detoxification System that suggests eating clean. My diet is very close to the "eating clean" diet, so I should not have too many problems being successful with it. My problem is that I "treat" myself a couple times a week, instead of only once. I do well all week, and then I treat myself 2-3 times over the weekend, which I know is not good. This happens more during the summer than it does the Holidays, due to several picnics, weddings, vacations, etc. I am on a strict 14-Day eating clean regimen, and hopefully I will have broken the bad habits and get back on track. I was much stricter with myself during my 20's to mid 30's. I just have to get back!!!! I am excited to join this group.
