I have one piece of dark chocolate after lunch each day - and I really don't crave these types of items anymore.

After eating clean for a while, I no longer have a craving for this type of junk, but the key for me is knowing that this is my lifestyle and not a diet. I know that if I want to have that candy I can, it is my choice and I chose to eat clean!! I find myself wanted my naturally sweetened vanilla greek yogurt with mango. I always pack my food with me and I give myself treats like organic dark mint chocolate bar. It is 70% cocoa and infused with pepermint extract, soo yummy!! I also make the cookies and treats out of the magazines so I always have something clean if I crave sweets.

I remind myself of all the unhealthy, artificial ingredients that are in these foods, especially high fructose corn syrup! I think of how much it will alter the natural metabolic processes in my body, and my hormones, that work most efficiently to burn calories when eating clean.

I say to myself : I have 2 choices.....1) If I choose to eat this treat, then I will feel sluggish, guilty, and gain weight or 2) If I choose to eat the clean snack I brought along, then I will feel satisfied, triumphant, and slimmer. Walking past the temptation is not about what I know or don't know; it is simply making the healthy choice that works for me today!

Eating on schedule (and having my cooler at hand) is key for me. I also know that at the end of the day, if I'm on track, a glorious piece of Godiva or my coconut oil fudge awaits. :-) And either of those are way better than the crap that finds its way into the office!

I just think about how it's going to make me feel after wards. I hate how my energy level goes to the minimum. When my energy level sinks, my motivation goes with it. I also think of it as wasted time as well. If I eat "tempting treats", it adds that much more I have to work off. In the long run, making my end goal stay at a stand still.

I drank the Eat Clean Kool-Aid!

I don't want those foods in my body. There is nothing nutritionally significant about any of that, and they no longer tempt me. I would rather have an apple, a piece of whole wheat bread, or some protein. Trust me, I used to be the one that would eat whatever goodie was in sight! Now that I am feeding my body what it needs, I no longer have cravings for those sweet treats.

It's difficult for me because I'm a waitress in the local cafe/bakery where everything is homemade. I'm just starting this eat clean journey this week so my plan is to keep lots of fresh friut and veggies around to nibble on instead. Wish me luck.

By drinking a lot of water, keeping sweet teas, like Aveda, close by & having alternatives to enjoy instead.

When I am feeling weak, its very hard for me not to put my hands in the candy bowl. I make alot of clean eating protien bars and brownies that i keep in my freezer and when iam feeling weak I will pack one in my lunch box for those moments when I want to put my hand in the candy dish. Oxygen mag. has a lot of good recipes. I try to stay strong any way I can.

Because I have been eating clean for so long, all candy bowls, morning donuts, and other tempting treats look terrible. Before I did, however, I would tell myself how all those chemicals will effect my progress, body, and not benefit me health wise. Then I get an apple, or other fruit to satisfy my temptation.

I try to picture myself after the fact, picture myself mindlessly reaching into the bowl, or the donuts or whatever it is, and how I will feel after I have eaten it. I know I will be angry at myself. I also try to remember that if I eat t...hat morning donut, that sometime before lunch, I am going to be on a blood sugar roller coaster, alternately falling asleep, and willing to eat anything offered to me. To combat this I try to eat a protein breakfast, even if it's leftover chicken, fish, beef from last night, and I try to always have an apple nearby. And my water bottle also.

If I'm not hungry or there's not chocolate in the bowl it is fairly easy.
And if there is chocolate I just think that it's cheap chocolate and not all that good.

I have to keep my meals on track and as long as I am getting in my 5 to 6 meals a day it seems easy. It also comes down to attitude, I just tell myself I am better than the junk food to help make it easy to say, "NO THANKS":)
