I'm working on that...the kid part :) I can't wait to go jogging with them in the park...it's like a mommy fantasy! I love seeing fit moms jogging behind 3-wheeled strollers with their kids. It just looks fun!

My kids are all grown up, but I like to take my dog to the park. He's as good as a kid...he fetches, we throw the frisbee..stuff like that.

My boys are getting a bit older now so we can really do some fun stuff. They like to play Ultimate frisbee with us or toss the football around. My youngest likes to walk the dog with me (he wants to be like Cesar Milan) and my oldest is just starting to get into weight training (he's 13). Our family is also very involved with our karate dojo. The kids have their classes and activities there and the parents have class upstairs at the same time.

I pick my nieces (ages 3, 5 and 8) up from school one day a week. If they want to do anything sedentary they have two choices, 1) Be Active First - they have to be active for the same number of minutes they want to watch tv, or read, or sit and talk, or 2) Take Activity Breaks - they have to stop their sedentary time every 15 min to do something active for at least 15 min.
The best part; regardless of which option they choose, to be active first or take activity breaks, they are having so much fun during active time that we just keep going with it. We often just do silly things like chase each other, roll down hills and walk back up, play hide-n-seek, silly dance, or laughing yoga (making up silly poses, all of which require that you laugh while holding the pose, it is a hoot).

We take the dogs for a walk, go to the park, sometimes bring a soccer ball and kick it around. They like to get the dogs to chase them around the yard. Sometimes they like to take turns walking on the treadmill after me. They will also do my 20 min. pilates DVD with me and we have little 1lb weights they take turns using. It's so cute!

Park, every day it's nice out we go to the playground. Since my activity level increased i've noticed my sons has too! He used to be very slow and steady, now he races around the playground swinging and jumping. We also love to play soccer and go for walks :)
