I have been working with a personal trainer 2-3 times per week for about 18 months now. It has changed my life. He has taught me how to lift and helped me love weight training. He motivates me and pushes me and constantly switches it up so I never get bored. I agree with Inkgoddess the right trainer makes all the difference. I had other ones in the past and the fit just wasn't right.

When I first began my journey, I walked into a local gym and got a membership - it came with a few free personal training sessions... that trainer who was randomly assigned to me changed my life! she believed in me, even when I didn't, and she pushed me, pulled me, and walked beside me the whole way. She took me to goal weight, she taught me maintenance and she became my best friend. Eventually I flew solo for a couple years, then when I made the decision to compete, it was a no-brainer to go back to her for coaching. I just completed my first figure competition (last night!), and took 4th place in each of my classes in very tough competition! I've said all along, that the right trainer - when it's the right fit and you click, makes ALL the difference! It's having someone on your side, always, helping you do what YOU set out to do! It's worth every penny! :-)
