When I feel a tough day coming on, or if something challenging just happened, I always come to the Kitchen Table for support or to read about things others are going through. It helps to know I'm not alone and that we all have bad days.

I'm very encouraged and can pick myself back up after receiving feedback and comments from the members here at the table.

Tough days are part of the journey, that's a fact! And they can take us out of the game...if we let 'em. ; )

When a tough or stressful day starts to sneak up on me, sometimes out of the blue and sometimes I see it steamrolling it's way directly at me, my first practice is to STOP, center and ground myself with a few deep breaths. It's amazing how giving ourselves a little oxygen can bring us back to being fully present enough to make the choices that support our intentions. Awesome and powerful!

If I find myself in a full blown meltdown, wanting to pull out the Kleenex kinda moment, that's the perfect time to practice a little self-love. I'm here to learn and to grow and to expand into the best version of myself I can and not everyday is going to be a winner.

The opportunity now becomes being compassionate with myself. Not beating myself up. Understanding I made the best decision I could in that moment and forgiving myself for any indiscretion. We're all learners on this journey. The biggest lesson we're here to learn is to be a little kinder to ourselves. Learning to give ourselves the love, compassion and acceptance we wish we had. If it's to be...it's up to me (and you :D) !!

Make it a great day everyone!

No one is perfect! My girlfriend messaged me yesterday and said "Oh No! I feel like Kraft Dinner!". And I replied and said "Stop right there! Just step aside and take a breather, and remember the reason you are doing this, and achieving your goals. Alternatively, why don't you make a clean mac and cheese? After spending a little extra time in the kitchen to make a clean version of a comfort food - it feels incredible AND motivating! I find it very useful to put reminders, pictures and sayings around the house to constantly keep your mind in the right spot. Good luck and tomorrow is a new day!

Remember your goal that you are trying to acheive! We know we are going to have tough days becuase there is no such thing as a perfetct day. When I have a tough day is usually because I failed in something. I just think, there is tomorrow and tomorrow is my oppurtunity to make it better than how I would of done it today, and then of coarse smile!! :)
