good morning al - its Thursday morning and I am up and going . I have been doing well getting up earlier and getting my family off. It feels good. laundry was going by 6:30 this morning, lunch packed, kids up and out the door, dogs fed doing workout and than am off to work. I already have a few appts today and have a busy day ahead. Also soccer tonight and than open house for my son. Its all good. Last night I saw someone who said wow I noticed you are at work early now. I remember that when you really do this right you will start to hear comments from people about your positive energy, glow , etc. It does create a positive energy. You feel good and it shows. You dont crave all the junk food , only occasionally , you have energy, your body functions better. etc. You think you dont see changes and than one day you really do see changes and most importantly you feel the changes. Fall is a time of to enjoy our area and I for one am looking forward to gettying out with my family to bike ride, apple and pumpkin pick , go to soccer games ettc. Its a good time for me to cook up some new good healthy foods to try also as I have a little more time on my day of.
M1 vanilla protein shake, strawberries, bananas
M2 Kind bar and grapes if I have time
M3 big salad
M4 fage greek yogurt , strawberries , raspberries, walnuts
M5 something quick as I have little time before open house. Maybe and omelet with fresh eggs and veggies.
M6 only if needed and could be an apple and almond butter ?
ultra mega active vitamins , lots of water .

What made you decide to start to eat clean?? And how long have you been on your journey?
I have been up and down for over a year now with eating clean, a first incorporating new things in my meals!! It just took some baby steps for me, and I am still learning today!! I try my best to eat 80 - 90 % clean! I also started to eat clean so I can lose some weight, and since then have added in exercise at home, and have lost about 15 lbs since April!!! I'm soo much happier then I was before eating clean!!
How about you?

Rollllller coaster, but worth the wild ride!!

Good morning fellow KTers.
Ok, I just need to blurt this out....I ate a pumpkin donut from DD yesterday......yucky ..... Well that is done and over ! I think I just needed to to it.
Yup, it tasted like poo and yup my tummy did rumble some. I walked it off with another nice hilly four mile walk. We were not scheduled to walk last night but we figured, what the heck, just do it. It pushes our dinner out a bit later than we like to eat but none the less, got our exercise in ! Hubbies knee/ankle/heel/foot (Gosh) was feeling good so he was all for it ;). He has come a far way with our eating lifestyle. I still have to get him to understand the six meal plan idea. He needs more protein sources thru day to keep his hunger a bay. Anyways...yesterday I was running out to do some errands and grocery shopping. I wanted to feel good about my attire. Fallish..jeans, boots, some type of sweater or jacket. Something different. Grabbed a pair of old jeans, low cut. I have been trying these on periodically as they were my "want to fit in these jeans" pair of jeans. I slid them on and did not have to struggle to button them. YAY ! Yes, I did have some muffin top overflow, lol ! But not near as much as before. Did not wear them as I still want them to look better !!! And I could not find a shirt/jacket I wanted to wear. I need some new outfits. My problem is my back...fatty areas...hate that ! I am broad and that is fine but the bra roll it just plain yucky. That is my plan..to rid back bulges ! Anyone have success with that ??? What exercises or lifting do you suggest ??? A boob reduction or lift would help, lol ! Gearing up for some winter workouts. Feels so much better because you have to get going to warm up, in the summer you are already hot and exhausted :).
Ok, time to move along. Parents visit today. Dad is going for second artery cleaning and stent placement. I told him he will be jogging over to visit soon with the repairs done, lol . Amazing he has lived thru his condition. Must have a strong heart.
Have a great day all. Each and every one of you are filling my days with support, motivation, and kind friendships. Thank you !

Hi all- so I am feeling the differences already. I hope to see them soon enough. I have been back on with my food prepping more and so happpy. Packing all my clean eats for the day at work . Truly when you eat the correct food combos you aren't craving as much and aren't so hungry. Exercise has been so much better. Sunday rode the horse and it was so much fun, Monday did Insanity Cardio abs and Turbo Fire HIIT 20. That was great and lots of fun, Tuesday was treadmill day and got in 3.15 miles with speed intervals, Wednesday was Turbo Fire HIIT 25 . I am trying to alternate. We are on a good schedule right now over here. Up with the kids early , dogs out and fed and hitting the workouts than it's time to get ready and leave for work. Love it. Tomorrow will be treadmill and weight training day. Friday HIIT training and Saturday am riding the horse. Thinking Sunday should maybe take the dog for a nice walk and not be crazy . Food has been good although the truth is I did have Ice cream but you just have to move on and keep it clean. Food for today will be :
M1- vanilla protein shake with strawberries, bananas, oats
M2- greek yogurt 0% Fage, strawberries, raspberries, sliced almonds
M3- I made soup ! chicken and wild rice with 1/2 multi grain bread disc toasted
M4- KIND bar and grapes
M5- Yummy ! Shrimp in oven with seasonings , so good. Sauteed zucchini and veggies, brown rice
M6- hoping to not need
Drink lots of water today, ultra mega active vitamins.

Thank you all for your kind words and advice. Yesterday I ate good clean scheduled meals and kept very busy with cleaning the house. Finally got that vacuuming done ! We went for our walk, 50 minutes of rolling hills. Did a slow jog around with the dog and got in some squats. Went to bed happy with my production. I won't lie, had a few sad moments with tears but I will work thru that...I hope, lol !
Today is grocery shopping and running errands day. Goal today is 25 squats with 10 lb hand weights.
Decided to switch up my oats this morning. Put in some coconut milk and frozen cherries, OMG! yum, soo creamy !! The extra fat in the coconut milk was worth it and I will just watch the rest of days intake. I normally just use water.
Have a great day KTers. Stay clean, active and enjoy yourself :).

This past weekend was what was probably the last outdoor BBQ of summer--though any Canadian readers know that winter doesn't mean no more BBQ! LOL
It was a retirment party for a dear friend of mine, and was actually party #2. She is too much of a character to be bound by just one celebration!
Anyway, there was a whole lot of meat (grilled), desserts (not grilled), salads (also not grilled), and I made veggie kababs. I marinated the mushrooms for 24 hours, but the rest of the veggies were "naked" because I wanted their lovely flavour to come through. I have no idea why grilled veggies taste so good, but I'm happy they do!
They were a complete hit! I probably made around 50, but there were only about 6 left, which was pretty amazing given how much food there was!
I had some of this, and some of that, just one beer (can't believe it), a lovely piece of apple/cherry pie, and a gourmet chocolate. I was satisfied and didn't go overboard--unlike some, who were doing the "oh I'm so full" sigh by halfway through the evening! LOL
