  • I Survived Day 1, Cooler 1

    • Ok so I have been putting off starting cooler 1 because I was nervous that I couldn't do it. I woke up yesterday morning and realized that I was out of excuses not to start cooler 1 as I was completely out of mixed berries, yogurt and leftovers. So I wouldn't be wasting food. I went to the grocery store and loaded up on chicken breast and veggies. I already feel lighter/less bloated, crazy right?!?!?! But true! My energy was good all day yesterday. I did my usual weight training and then went for a 4 mile run outside, it was beautiful. However, I was definately ready for bed by 1030. My goal is to lose some body fat and hopefully see more muscle definition and of course feel great for wearing summer clothes. Oh and vacation is right around the corner. Wish me luck and good luck to all you that are doing cooler 1!

    • Today is another great day of clean eating. Remember to enjoy the process and take things one meal, one bite at a time. Today is my favorite lifting day: Shoulders, abs, calves. I'm also going to throw a little HIIT into the mix.

  • Day One - Cooler 1... A success!

    • Over all it went really well. I'm not hungry, so that's great... and I had tons of energy. Already prepped and packed my cooler for tomorrow:) Last ten pounds, here I come!

  • Eat-Clean Vegan!

  • Eat Clean Day 32 ... Fat Challenge day 1

    • 125 grams protein, 39 grams fat, 167 carbs. Do you think I need more carbs in my diet? P.S. Went to a meeting today which was held in a reception area with LOADS of cake, donuts, and other pastries. This is something that would usually make me nervous and then make me cave. 2 hours later, I walked out without a scratch and went home. Here's the kicker, I didn't even notice that I didn't take one. I didn't notice that they were really there! I went over to the table where they were at... and grabbed a water! Without thinking about it! I think I'm just proud of the fact that sweets are no longer something I think about. They are simply not part of my lifestyle anymore! :)

  • Typical Competition Diet

    • I started working with a former competitor today and he explained to me what I need to do food-wise. This will be a typical day for me over the next few weeks as I adjust to the diet! Supplements to follow. Around 1400-1500 calories per day.

  • March 4, 2010 - What a messed up day!

    • Oh my gosh, what a screwed up day! First of all, I was up early, worked out before I started at the office...and then while eating my second pancake (Meal 2), one of the on-lays on my back molars fell off. Luckily I could get a dentist appointment to have it fixed...it was a painful day for chewing...but the appointment wasn't until 5:20pm, so by the time we got home, it had been over 3 hours since my last meal and I was starving, so I scarfed down 3 (I know!) Cocoa Muffins...yes, they are "clean" but 3 is way too many considering I already had one for my afternoon snack (Meal 5). Dinner was still super tasty...luckily it was quick to prepare, light and not full of carbs. To top it all off, it's that wonderful time of the month when all I want to do is eat...and eat chocolate! Now I'm just sipping on some jasmine green tea. At least tomorrow is Friday!

  • Jan 17 - this is why I'm failing...I eat too much...too late - I THINK!

    • If anyone can give me advice, I would appreciate it!!!!!!!!! I starved yesterday and I can't seem to make it 3 hrs between meals. This could be caused by stress....But I am no longer seeing any changes beside the scale number INCREASING!!!!!!!!!

    • I am asking for help with this, because I am starting to wonder if maybe I am eating to much or not enough. Seems like my progress has been 0 lately. I mean I am happy with my food choices and going to the gym everyday, but it would be nice to see a little more results.
