Hi all- still going on my 6 week challenge. My workout is done for this morning. I got in just over 3 miles on the treadmill and do see improvement. Yesterday was a good weight day and I am feeling it today. I have been able to workout Monday through Friday doing weights, treadmill and either Insanity or Turbo Fire . Saturday is rest day and Sunday I have a riding lessong. You need to feel strong to ride the horse also. It really helps. Packing up my food and trying to make good choices. Boiling up some fresh eggs from my chickens now. I will have one as a snack with some almonds today. Also, remember to drink lots and lots of water.
I have been watching T-25 from Shawn T on tv and really thinking of trying. Has anyone done it yet ? If so what did you think and did you see results ?
Have a great day all ! Oh, yeah it's my anniversary tonight. I am going out to dinner and with a gift certificate. The restaurant has lots of good options like fish , veggies etc so I think I am okay.

Hi everyone,
I have been away for a bit, admittedly because I was doing very badly eating clean, and I have all but stopped exercising. The stress and craziness of moving set me way back with everything and a guilty conscience kept me away. I am back though, and feeling great. I have figured out a schedule for myself, and I am down 10 pounds since my weight at Christmas, and nearly 25 since my heaviest weight. I tried to sign up for a gym, but remembered I am broke, so it's back to square one when it comes to an exercise plan. I hope I will figure something out.

Well today I turn 49. Over the years there was the odd year that kind of felt OMG. At 25 I was in the hospital having just had my first baby and felt the first Yikes birthday moment. The thirties flew bye with the rat race of life...super mom/business woman/wife/daughter...who had time to notice another birthday I was just trying to get it all done! "40" hit hard...I lost myself. I was at a personal low...heavy, sad, overwhelmed! My kids were great...my customers happy...my marriage strong...family supportive. I had worked on everything and everyone but forgot to work on "me". I have changed that. I am happy and proud of how I take care of myself therefore I take better care of my family. I've booked myself a birthday massage and have a light day of work ahead. Clean food planned because it is my day and I can't think of a better way to spoil me that with amazing fresh high quality food. The house will be filled with the smell of a chicken roasting for meals for the rest of the week. I have pork ribs, asparagus, spinach salad for supper...no cake no need. I had cake for my son's birthday last Saturday. I'm not crazy about the number 49 but hey it's not 50 ;) it's my day and I will look forward to the calls from family and take in what ever this tue has for me.

I love Mondays. The weekend sometimes gets a little out of schedule. We had different things going on this past weekend. We found ourselves tired and not too motivated. We took a lazy day yesterday. Had dinner at sisters house. Visit was nice. She served boneless pork ribs. Garden grown baked potatoes and some rice with broccoli...the boxes type....I said bad sister, you should not eat boxed anything...really? Oh well ! Her daughter made some homemade eggnog. I tried some. It was good. It was thick. I had a difficult time trying to get it out of my throat all night. Lesson learned..do not drink heavy egg nog. I do not typically drink it. Was good at the party we attended. Just one glass of sparkling wine from local vineyard. NO goodies. Successful ! Husband had a pumpkin donut yesterday, he was going to share but I nicely declined offering. If it was something of better quality I may have excepted. I am trying to use my best judgement and to save my craving for something really really good. Otherwise it can be dangerous. Fall is my favorite time of year. I love it ! Why does the season just scream baked goods ????? I have printed off some great receipes. I don't know why I feel even good clean receipes are bad ??? Fighting a headache today. (The boxed rice, lol just kidding..maybe) Resorted to continual ibuprofen. Many areas of pain. Right eye, under right eye, right forehead, back of head and down right side of neck. Better but still there. Was sapose to mow but I am going to put that off for today. Off to finish monthly paperwork and to get my beef stew started. Dragging my feet today. Have a great day all. Oh, I spoke to my daughter yesterday. OMG! She actually spoke on the phone with me for quite sometime. Tried not too push it with questions. Yes, I did tear up a few times. That's a mothers job. :). Can't just turn off eighteen years. Lol ! Will be seeing her this weekend :). Couldn't help but to mention eating clean for energy and mental stability. She is having a hard time with food choices. She was going to try to find some Annie's frozen meals. College life..not always easy.
A good eat clean day. Time for a nice yummy apple with some raw nut butter and a slow walk (as not to aggreviate headache) to back field with my choc lab.

Good Morning and Happy Monday KTers!
It's been a few weeks since I last posted, I went through some rough spells. I have suddenly developed an "allergy" to anything beef, which is disheartening because I do still enjoy a nice steak once in a while, but it makes me so sick now that it's just not worth it. I thought it might have just been because my husband chose a fattier cut and the grease was too much, but when I tried a much leaner cut, I had the same problem. Oh well, I suppose. Once we figured that out, which took a couple of weeks, I'm doing much better! So much better, in fact, that I got off much (now much smaller) butt and went clothes shopping for the first time in a long time. I didn't realize how much weight I had lost until I tried on size 10 jeans, and was swimming in them, and that I was actually a size 6! It's a bit fascinating to me to look pick out the size I think I am, and then to realize that I'm quite a bit smaller. It just makes me realize how critical I am of myself, and that what I see when I look at me is so different from what others see. It was definitely a self-image and self-esteem boost!

kick off of week 3 on my 6 week challenge. I have been off to a busy start today and am feeling good. Getting lots done. I did my food shopping already and have stocked up on my foods. I think I have a good plan in place for the week and that is a good start. I am going to try and have more veggies and proteins this week and see if it makes a difference. I bought some hummus , carrots, celery , veggies. This weeks veggies were cauliflower , brussel sprouts along with zucchini etc. Todays work out is with Shawn T - Insanity and I cannot wait as we finally got a nice big tv for the basement and it should be like being in the gym with everyone. Gotta run but will post back
