One mishap in 12 days isn't completely awful.

  • Life gets in the way days.....

Well I cannot say I have been active since Thursday as far as my long walks but have been taking short walks around property.  I do try to keep moving.  Friday was a day of visiting with my nephew in hospital, running errands with sister and then joining family for dinner....not so good...cocktail and mexican food.  Ate just half Of everything.  Stripped beef, refried beans, rice.   Very filling.   Today, went with mom to pick up dad from hospital.  Successful procedure so far.  Hope he regains energy.  Nurse suggested to lose weight. Amazingly he does not weigh anymore than the average husky man, 230, but he does look so so heavy.  Very large middle.  I am hopeful he will take  it seriously.  Has to get my mom on the same page.  He knows my eating style.  I don't push it but he will ask sometimes.  He owes it to himself to lose weight and I know he can because he had lost up to fifty plus pounds before.  So important for his diabetes.  I will remind him that he has the willpower as he stopped drinking (alcoholic) and smoking and has never turned back.   Anyways, off to a picnic. Ick...raining.  I stopped and picked up some chocolate dipped fruit from edible arrangements.  Dark chocolate.  I did not look at the ingredients to see if totally clean.  I just didn't have time today to think about making something.  I think I will do fine.  I have not the desire at this point to indulge in anything harmful :)   Well, maybe sparkling wine from local vineyard.   Hope all is well with all of you fellow KTers :).    Have a great weekend.  Enjoy family and friends.   Today a bit sad.  Missing my daughter.  Have to get doing something and fast :).

  • broke my toe this week but managed to get in 3 workouts anyways!!!!

dumb accident!!!  I dropped a small 2 lbs weight that I use when I go to Zumba on my foot, moved it just in time but it broke my toe when it fell grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I had one workout in at that point, couldn't do anything the day of or the next day but I managed to get 2 workouts - concentrated on my shoulders and back one day and triceps / biceps the next.  I also added some leg stretches because I was feeling a bit stiff, felt great and now I can walk on my toe again although I can't put too much weight on it and not for long but hey... on the mend :)  Have a super weekend everyone - planning on getting another leg stretch in there this weekend and of course, preparing food ahead for the week.  You should try Tosca's Leek and Potato soup - super yummy, it's on this website.  :D Keep it clean !!!!

  • Here I Go!

I love exercising, it's just the diet I mess up. i feel so lonely though regarding my eating however.  I hope I make friends here.

  • Getting off my butt, day 5...

A good day yesterday.  Mowing exercise, stability ball exercises, short walks around property, errands, office work and ate clean and on schedule.  Have been increasing my veggie intake by getting that salad in with dinner.  Feels good to make accomplishments and follow thru with your daily goals. Yesterday my goal was too do stability ball exercises. Funny how suddenly you forget to do them ! Well, my back was sore and the last thing I wanted to do was get on the ball and on the floor...but I dropped what I was doing and went right over to do it.  YAY !  It actually felt soo good laying on the floor,  it is just a relaxing movement in itself.  Bridging hurt a bit but once I got going for the twenty it was fine.  I think my office chair raises havoc with my back..and I have to sit up there today for about four hours.  Should bring my ball to sit on, think I will.  Waiting on dads results from his artery cleaning and stent placement this morning. He already feels good from the one he had done a few weeks ago.  Hopeful this will give him his energy back.  He won't know what to do with himself, lol !     My nephew is in for an emergency appendix removal this morning.  The poor kid suffered for hours with extreme pain. I'm sure he will be relieved.  Keep healthy !   Put an end to anything that will cause illness !   Protect your body !  Fuel with nourishing and balanced meals !   Illnesses can arise to those who do take care of themselves but we can certainly do our very best in fighting against it !  Love yourself and respect your body.  When at pharmacy yesterday picking up my 110.00 birth control (what the heck!) I was disgusted with the isles and isles of Halloween candy.   I wish there was a food and drug law that prevented the distribution and manufacturing of this garbage.  I know, I know...I was a candy junkie once but all this really has to be limited.   Disease prevention .

  • 6 week challenge- week 2 Friday

It's Friday. It's been a super busy crazy week and it flew by . I do work Saturdays but thats okay, I got on the scale today and am reporting that I hate it. Up / down/ Up / down / Up . So I have been eating so much better and working out regularly and is it too much to ask for some movement ? Monday it was down and today it is up ?! I know to stick with it and at somepoint I will see results. The way I have been running at work and home I really should. Not snacking so much except for scheduled meals and foods . Oh boy. So here I go on my morning routine.  Drinking lots of water, ultra mega active vitapack M1- vanilla protein shake , strawberries, bananas M2- greek yogurt , sliced almonds, pineapple M3- spinach salad, pineapple, tomatoes, small amount of bacon, onion, hard boiled eggs, balsamic dressing M4-thinking on this one. apple and almonds perhaps M5- not positive  but thinking of making shrimp as did not get to the other night so. Shrimp, veggies, brown rice Gotta move it so I'm not late. I have been doing so well with my morning routine and it feels good. Have  a great day all.  Also , get posting !!! It seems like we have lost a lot since we have lost Tosca !
