Does it say somewhere how many pancakes are in a serving? I see that the yield is 12... but is a serving 2? 3?

Can you freeze these pancakes and reheat another day.

These pancakes are delicious and a great weekend-morning treat! It's originally from The Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook and in it it says that 2 pancakes is a serving. Hope that helps!

i just made these pancakes, and they are DEEELISH!! i put unsweetened applesauce on top and garnished with mixed berries..amazing:) i noticed some of you asking about saving the extra and freezing..i'm gonna try it, and then i'll let you all know how it works out!

I just made these for the second time. So so so so so good!!!!
From: share about 3 years ago
Maybe I made it incorrectly. The ingredients got stuck in my blender because it was too dry, and the egg white's didn't blend with the ingredients properly. I didn't have a great experience with this pancake.

Just made these for the first time tonight. They are wonderful! I substituted the vanilla flavor for butter-nut flavor, and added about 5 almonds to the mix before blending. It smelled delicious in the blender and tasted just as good when done! My husband absolutely loved them. We will be making some of these on Sunday nights and putting them in ziploc bags in the fridge for a quick grab-and-go breakfast! I'm sure these will be our new favorite breakfast and snack. <3

Anyone figure out the serving size?
Love this recipe! Delicious! Except I had to add a half cup of water. Batter was way too thick. Gonna freeze some and throw them in the toaster for a quick breakfast.

I just cooked them and they are amazing!!! So fun to prepare and delicious to eat! I subbed the vanilla with 1/4 cup pecans and they were so so good.

Does anyone know if the safflower oil can be substituted for olive oil?
From: timted about 3 years ago
Plugging the ingredients into my Spark People recipe calculator, looks like that recipe is 4 servings.

I love these pancakes! I ran out of flaxseed, so I put in about a tablespoon of wheat germ, and also was out of oil, so I put in some unsweetened applesauce.... YUMMY!! The last time I made them I had leftovers, so each morning I'd pop a couple in the toaster, put on some nut butter, and viola, quick breakfast!

I made a variation to these pancakes and froze some on parchment paper in a container...and took them out as needed and popped in the toaster. For future I think I would slightly under cook found them a tad dry but great when I added crushed rasberries on them Has anyone else froze them?

I made these last week and froze them to take to work as a snack. They froze and reheated just fine. I found them to be just ok. I even topped them with a little unsweetened applesauce and sprinkled cinnamon on top. They don't have much flavor to me.

These are AMAZING! I chopped an apple and sauteed it in water and cinnamon and stirred that with my applesauce for the topping! Drizzle a little honey over or agave nectar and you feel like your eating an apple pie!!!

Just tried these this morning. I was out of flax and tried wheat germ. It was fabulous! I just ate them as finger food with nothing on them with a side of oranges and liked them. Does anyone know if you can keep the mix in the fridge for a few days instead of freezing the cooked ones?

I tried adding some strawberries to this mixture and it gave a really nice flavour to it! It was my first time making it and they were pretty good!

If you have trouble making htis recipde because you're batter is too sticky and doesn't translate into a good pancake - here's a fix: Put all the ingredients into the food processor EXCEPT the egg whites and mix. Then in a speaparate bowl wisk your egg whites so that they get fluffy. I use an electric mixer to fluff up the whites. Then add the mixture from the food proessor into the egg whites. I use the back of a big spoon to fold the egg whites into the mix. That shoud give you great batter to work with! Yes they freeze - I make a double batch every time and freeze them. (confession) I also add about 2 Tbls of mini chocolate chips into my double batch - yum!

These pancakes are delish! My fiance hates pancakes and loved these because of the bulk they have. My only change to this recipe would be to add more skim milk--about 2 TBSP more to be precise. Otherwise, it's a bit too thick to spread on the skillet properly. YUM! (P.S.: I also put some dark choco chips in there--SO good for a Sunday AM treat!)

@carriecatanzaro, three small pancakes is one serving.

Just tried out the recipe- it was good. I've changed it up a little bit by adding cottage cheese to the receipt for extra protein. I've also mix a little bit of blue agalve to my applesauce and had it with the pancakes :)

I tried making these this morning from the Cookbook - the recipe is a bit different than this one. Big failure :( I folded the egg whites in after as the instructions said and the batter looked great but as soon as I put them on my pan it was disaster. Even though I had brushed the pan with olive oil, the pancakes stuck to the pan and there was no way I was flipping those! The heat was low-medium so I have no idea what I did wrong! I noticed that the recipe in the cookbook does not include milk, but this one does - maybe that has something to do with it? The recipe in the book included half a cup of cottage cheese. I was really looking forward to these pancakes and am scared to try them again!

I made these on the weekend and loved them, so did my son!!! I used Olive Oil that is all I had on hand. I also found the batter to be very thick and could not form an even pancake; however I have been reading some reviews about adding water and I am going to give this a try. I am also going to do a double batch, they are great to take on the run and I put the unsweetened applesauce on top...perfect!! Making more this week :-)

I still love these pancakes! And now I have my daughter hooked on them too. They're so easy I can whip them up and have this great breakfast before work. They work fabulously frozen and reheated in the toaster oven another day. It definitely feels like a big satisfying breakfast. I'll have greek yogurt and blueberries on top today. Thanks!

Just made these ready for tomorrow morning as I am hitting the gym before work and wont have time for my usual bowl of porridge. They smell and look lovely (I have to admit I had a sneaky taste and they were YUM!) Cant wait for the gym session to be over so that I can eat them!!
From: Leaner2013 about 4 months ago
Going to try making these with almond milk since I don't drink cow's milk anymore. I do still eat cheese (cause it just tastes so good). However, one of these days I really want to figure out a healthier (& easy enough to make) alternative to cheese. Going to try this recipe next week after I can get the healthier ingredients.

The serving size says 3 pancakes. I made these this morning - awesome! I topped them with some blueberry/apple spread that I made. Definitely looking forward to substituting these once or twice a week for my usual oatmeal breakfast.
