“I stick to clean foods to feel energized and amazing!”

My Journey:

Wake-Up Call

My story starts like many others: “I need to lose the baby weight…” (sounds familiar, I know). It then continues on with “…so I tried multiple fad diets, I joined a gym but never went because I was too busy with the kids.” But then at my yearly doctor's appointment, my doctor made a comment that my body would never be the same as what it was pre-pregnancy!

Discovering Something New

At the same time I came across The Eat Clean Diet and bought Tosca’s books. I read them from front to back (multiple times) and even highlighted certain sections. I was going to try to do something that WASN’T a fad diet but a new way of living and eating!

Making Her Own Motivation

A year after following the Eat-Clean principles off and on and having some success, I decided I would enter the Eat-Clean Diet® Makeover Challenge and get serious about it again. I did well this time! I stuck to the plan, rejoined the gym and started posting about my progress to keep myself accountable.

No More Cheats

After the challenge was over I had fallen in LOVE with Eating Clean. Every time I would “indulge” in a cheat meal, as good as it tasted in the moment, I felt HORRIBLE afterward. You can read it, you can be told it... but until you LIVE it and FEEL what processed foods make you feel, vs. clean, whole foods, you don't quite UNDERSTAND it!

Eating Clean For the Win!

I now understand. And with that understanding, I try to stick to clean foods to feel energized and amazing! So amazing that I just competed in my first ever figure competition!! From here I will keep on pushing myself to live my new lifestyle and help to educate others and promote EATING CLEAN!

Thank you Emma! They are one of my favorite parts...LOL One thing I started doing when I started this journey was to change the way I looked at myself. Instead of every time I looked in the mirror and saying what I hated ("I hate my rolls""My arms are saggy") I started to find a part I DID like and tell THAT to myself. Eventually I loved more parts then what I disliked.

Robin - as long as you keep getting back on there and trying you WILL eventually follow through. OR you will find a way of accomplishing the goal in a manner that suits you! ;) The key is to NEVER GIVE UP!! :D

I agree, you look great! Well done! I also think I'm gonna give up on cheat meals; I just had one and feel awful - so much sugar! Very bloated and sick! But I felt I 'had' to finish it as it was my cheat meal and I should appreciate it...

    Thank you xtina!

MWEfitness - as GREAT as cheat meals are some people can handle and appreciate them and others can't. I use to have cheat meals and LOVED eating them but unfortunately they would send me into a food freenzy....I couldn't stop myself :( Now I find that I am better off WITHOUT the cheat meals.....I have learned to love and crave clean foods! And in all honesty I *feel* better when I eat clean....more energy, less bloat, etc....

You look awesome! I want to transform myself too. I just joined today and am going to go and buy Toscas book today. I am gluten and lactose intolerant, yet I keep eating fast food and processed foods. I know that I should be eating clean. I feel and look miserable.. so today is the beginning! I am excited and you are an inspiration!

You're transformation is awesome! I am curious about your tummy, if you don't mind sharing. Did you have any "help"? Your before shot looks like a typical mommy tummy. I am a mom of 3. I had twins when my first baby was only 18 months old, so my tummy looks horrendous now, partly due to the twin pregnancy (i also have a diastasis) but mainly cause I'm fat. From the looks of your after photo, your abs are tight and toned and your core looks gorgeous! I am hoping you will tell me this all came from eating clean and working out. Any tips on transforming my midsection? Thanks and, way to go, mama!

@ doganddolphingirl - YOU GO GIRL!! :D Seriously, I don't know where I would be today if it wasn't for Tosca and The Eat Clean Diet. Buy the books, read them over and over and BELIEVE in the process. You can do this <3

    @ melonique2000 - Thank girl <3

@ Lily girl - Thanks for the kind words :) I didn't have any "help"....LOL I did it all through exercise and diet.....oh and Bio Oil. It is VERY frustrating because you will see your body changing over time. Most people will lean out from their top down and their bottom up...thus leaving the mid section for the VERY LAST! But persistence WILL pay off.....the KEY (and I can't say this loud enough) is DIET!!! You can do a million sit ups but it won't show a damn thing until you eat right and lose the fat that is covering those muscles. I have a TON of stretch marks (which still show AND I am proud of) but my tummy IS flatter. Lose at a reasonable pace and your skin WILL bounce back....lose it too quick and you'll be left with some "droop" ;) If "I" can do this ANYONE can do this! Now, make it YOUR TURN to shine!! <3
