Loving the new OFF THE COUCH magazine!!!

Hi everyone,

Have you picked up your copy of Off The Couch yet? If not, stop what you're doing, grab your wallet, keys, get in your car and go get it! .... NOW!!!  :)

I remember last year when I bought Oxygen's new Off The Couch publication. At that point I was 186 lbs and stuck in a rut. I was unhappy, fat, sluggish, cranky, and low on self confidence. I remember reading that copy cover to cover several times. It struck me to the core. Here I was reading about these fabulous women and thinking ... "look at the changes these ladies have made, and look at their results!!!" I was blown away... and then this little voice said to me "Elizabeth, why can't YOU be one of these women? How come you're not allowing yourself the opportunity to enjoy change?"

Here we are a year later, and I am reading the most recent publication and am LOVING it once again!!! that little voice that started pushing me towards change last year is now loud as ever, and up on bust most hours of the day, yelling at me to get my butt out of bed and to the gym (who needs an alarm clock when your conscious does it for you?!?!), and reminding me to make healthy clean choices to nourish my body.

For me, a lot of change has taken place in the last year. I took part in an outdoor boot camp for women last summer and that fuelled a fitness passion in me that led me to my current personal trainer, and a confirmed realization that "YES, I can TOTALLY do this!!!" I am down to 165 lbs, and entered the 3rd ECD Makeover Challenge with my eye on the goal more than ever after reading this magazine. It is like having your own personal motivational speaker all wrapped up in 112 pages of butt kicking, self-embracing "go get it, you can do this" wisdom! I love it!!

Enjoy the new read everyone! The power we each have within ourselves is unlimited! Tap into it and embrace a new, happy, healthy you!!

Yours in health and happiness,

Elizabeth :)

pking, yes, go get it! it will lift your spirits and let you know that your dreams and goals are 100% achieivable! The regular Oxygen fitness magazines are also fantastic for keeping up your spirits and educating you on proper fitness and well-being. They are chalk full of wonderful tips, motivation, strategies, clean eats, and fitness suggestions. I can't wait for it to come out every month! :)

  • I'm BACK!

Well, after loosing my way for quite some time, packing on 20 pounds, I'm done feeling sorry for myself and feeling like a sad, depressed, unhealthy person. It's time to step up my game. I only have 1 more month until I'm on the beach... in a bikini. So, I just finished my first Insanity: the Asylum workout, Speed and Agility, and let me tell you, I am drowining in a puddle of sweat and tears. But guess what? I also feel like a monster. A powerful, strong, monster. I can do this! 29 days left:)

  • Acquired Taste?

I am in the first few days of eating clean, and I tried oatmeal straight-up with flaxseeds and blueberries and raspberries.  I had a bit of a hard time with the rather bland taste of the oatmeal.  The berries helped a lot, but I guess I am going to have to adjust to oatmeal without all the crazy sweeteners.  Any suggestions?
