My boyfriend and I have finally completed our condo (well except for the master bedroom) so now we are starting to have family and friends over for dinner or drinks and appetizers. However I am having a little difficulty coming up with healthy, appealing appetizers.
Wednesday we have our real estate agent coming over for drinks and appetizers, I have thought of a couple appetizers/snack:
- chicken skewers
- veggies and dip
I am looking for more ideas! What do you serve your guests for appetizers??

It has been a long while since I have posted. Here is the down and dirty I used to follow ECD and did very well then I guess I just got lax once moving in with my fiance 1.5 years ago ( where does time go?!?). When we moved I found crossfit then heard about Paleo and did a whole 30 which I lost weight I had gained. The problem is I am great with being strict for a short while then everything goes down the tube. I know what to do I enjoy eating veggies and cooking healthy, but my other half does not so I often cave for treats and not so healthy meals with him. How do you find motivation to turn things around? I know my self talk is terrible, but I don't know how to break the funk! And how do you eat with someone who is not so healthy and wants nothing to do with it? I feel like I have almost poisoned my mind with reading too much on how to eat the right way now I just feel frustrated. I know you guys are a wonderful supportive group and I appreciate any advice in advance:-)

Well I can stay these past four days have been great and hard at the same time. I have so many tempting foods in my house that are NOT AT ALL CLEAN. But I am keeping my self in check and staying positive I have done this before. I went about two months with no problem at the beggining of this year. So I know I have it in me to do it. I have stayed clean the last four days it is a great feeling. I have energy all the time to get things done. I cleaned my house quickly and before it would have taken me all day because I would sit down and watch tv or get on the computer and it would end up taking me all day just to get the house cleaning done. Now if my house is not clean it is not because of sitting and watcthing tv or computer. I am off riding bikes with the kids jumping on a trampoline or walking going to the park and helping out in a shcool. Or just plan old good butt kicking workouts. I love this new life that I have and I am determined to make it a 100% clean eating life style for the rest of my life. I know their are going to be times I may have a unclean food but I will always come back to me love of eat clean.
Today I have kept all my food clean yeah. I am doing it and I am going to keep it going. WOO HOO.
Here are my meals. I am getting low on food so I am doing what I can to keep foods clean until friday when I can go shopping it is not easy living from pay check to pay check. But NO EX CUSES just keep clean and eat what you can no matter what. Even if it is the same thing every day.
Meals
BF bike ride) protein bar and 1 hard egg
Snack a berrie smoothie with water
L) 1 egg and white, with veggies and 1/4 avocado radishes.
Snack I made a Greek yogurt parfia very yummy
Dinner ) chicken with veggies and black beans and onion.
I am also getting my water in everyday. I can say it really helps when you get your water in all the time. :)
Been visiting with my friend today. It has been great. Came home and ate a clean lunch then I jumped on a trampoline for about ten minutes witch I have not done in a long time. It felt great but definitely need some work lol. Not has flexible. Hope everyone is eating clean and getting their workouts in.
I also have 185 squats to do today. I have already gotten 90 of them done. going to finish the rest this afternoon and evening. Keep up the great work everyone. Hugs

I just got the Recharged book and Rules. I had prepared my oatmeal and bee pollen. I suffered a serious reaction to the bee pollen and had to call my doctor. There should be a warning that people with allergies should not take bee pollen!

Dear muscles,
I have waited so so so long to see you. I always knew you were there- nicely wrapped up in a blanket of my fat, hiding away for the past 10 years. I have dreamt of what you would look like, how it would feel to see you in the mirror. I must say, you are just as beautiful as I imagined you to be!! Thank you for making an appearance this past weekend!! Seeing a little bit of you was the motivation I needed to keep up my hard work.
PS Please try to make an appearance in my stomach soon!! :P

Every once in a while I log into the expense managment side of my online banking and I look at my expenses over the past few months to see that i am doing ok on balancing my budget and not going overboard anywhere. Well this time I discovered that I am spending WAY too much money at restaurants. Between restauants and grocery stores last month I spent over 1000 dollars! YIKES!!!!! I know that this restaurant thing happens when I get too lazy to cook, or I get really hungry and forgot to take something from the freezer, or when i went out and failed to plan and bring food.
So, this month, I am going to try to get much much better at planning my meals and preparing in advance. This will give me the opportunity to cut way back on my expenses each month. I am going to challenge myself to a $0 restraurant spend from today to June 21!!! I am going to try and check in here periodically to keep me on track!
Heres to 30 days with no restaurants!!!!!

I am new to the clean eating way of life but am so excited to start this. Almost 13 years ago I had gastric bypass which truly changed my life and I am so grateful. I have become a runner and love that I am healthy. I have tried various things over the years to stay healthy but I feel my best when I eat mostly vegetables and fruits. I do eat some meat, but I have to be careful (because of the bypass). I am excited to learn from all of you.

Someone please HELP!! I have read sooo many negetive things about oatmeal and the NON-nutritional value in oats??? Yet in all meals and even in Tosca's book everyone eats quick cook oats and old-fashioned oats..Are steel cut oats better nutrionally for us and are they better to incorporate into my eating clean menu?? Thanks for your help and clarification :)
