My Journey:

When I turned 40, my sister said my body would fall apart. I made up my mind that I would definitely not let that happen! I had always been active, but thought that since I was active I could eat whatever I wanted. That included a huge bowl of fat-laden ice cream every night. I mean, "I was working out, so I could eat it, right?" NOO!!! When my husband nicknamed me "scoops" I knew he wasn't referring to my cute little nighttime habit. It was my large backside scoops.

I read about eating clean in Oxygen magazine, and totally changed my eating habits over the course of the next year. I worked out even more and now my former "Scoops" are a pair of well-toned buns, which I love!

I absolutely love The Eat-Clean Diet® book! It helped me confirm that how I had been eating was correct and also gave me some ideas for the supplements I now take as a result (CLA, bee pollen, cq10).

I carry it with me in my purse and pull it out when shopping. It's kind of like my security blanket!

You look marvelous, Nettie. How many time did you work out? Did you start on Cooler 1 or Cooler 2? Where did you get your bathing suit?

hi Nettie, congratulations on your awsome success!! We are almost twins--i'll be 44, 5'3 1/2 " (can't leave off the 1/2 :) and now at 125 down about 10# from my start 4 months ago. I seem to be stuck but have taken up running so maybe i'll reach my goal of under 120. When did you start eating clean and how long did it take for your great results? How are you doing now as I know your success story has been posted for some time now? I'm trying to envision my future, lol. I would love to hear back from you! Thanks for the inspiration!

You look amazing Nettie! I love reading success stories, such as yours, about women my age. It keeps me inspired when I feel like giving up, missing a run or not doing another push up. It's winter here in Australia & I love reading stories like yours to keep me going until Spring. Well done you!
